Saint Louis Marie Grigion de Montfort
(31 Gennius 1673 - 28 April 1716) was the founder of the Society of Mary and the Daughters of Wisdom

Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort, priest, who traveled the lands of western France proclaiming the mystery of Eternal Wisdom; He founded Congregations, preached and wrote on the Cross of Christ and true devotion to the Virgin Mary and led many to a life of penance; in the village of Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre in France he finally ended his earthly pilgrimage.

Treatise about the true devotion to the Holy Virgin

(Art. 227) Those people, who want to join this particular devotion, after spending at least twelve days in freeing themselves of the worldly spirit which is contrary to Jesus Christ’s one, will take three weeks to fill themselves with Jesus Christ by means of the Holy Virgin.
