Power on demons

One night, while the Priest from Ars tried to fall asleep, the demon showed his presence with a shout: "Vianney, Vianney, I'll have you, I'll have you!" And the Curate repeated him from the dark corner where his bed was placed: I do not care.
Bishop Devie had authorized him to use his exorcist powers whenever circumstances require him. Again, the testimonies abound.

Away from her husband, an unhappy furious woman who was making incomprehensible sounds. Four men were carried by her, despite her resistance. The Priest from Ars then placed his reliquary on the head of the demoniac, who remained as dead. Shortly afterward, rising alone, she reached the door of the church; But spent just an hour, returned calmly, took the blessed water and knelt down, she had been released.

On the evening of December 27, 1857 a vicar of Saint-Pierre of Avignon and the Superior of the Franciscans of Orange led Ars to a young teacher, who gave all the signs of the devil's possessions. The Archbishop of Avignon had studied the case personally, and advised to take her to Ars to Priest Vianney. The next morning he took her to the sacristy, while the Saint was preparing to wear the holy vestments for the celebration of the Mass, but immediately the obsessive attempted to reach the door shouting.

The saint and the miserable victim of Satan remained in the sacristy. The door opened almost immediately, the power of the Saint had been full of triumph; In fact, on the threshold appeared the young woman, gathered, weeping with joy and painted on his face an expression of infinite gratitude.

On July 25, 1859, around eight o'clock in the evening, a woman was taken to him. Her husband accompanying her went in with her alone in the courtyard of the parsonage, and Don Vianney followed them. There were a large number of pilgrims at the door. At the same moment when the woman came out of her free and happy, there was a noise in the yard like the violent rupture of tree branches. This made such a shock that the attendants were frightened.

There was another unhappy man who could not drag to the church, so much was the resistance he resisted, and the repulsions he showed towards the Priest from Ars. So he invited the Saint into the house where he stayed while he was absent. He waited for him to return to a nearby room. Of course, the obsessed was not informed of anything. As he approached the house, he was struck with violent convulsions. This time the Holy Father also carried out his work of liberation.

On January 23, 1840, something fantastic happened in the confessional of the Priest Vianney. A woman who came from Puy-en-Velay's surroundings and had not given any sign of devilish possessions until then, kneeled at the feet of the Saint. At that moment a dozen people waited in the chapel of St. John the Baptist for their turn to confess; they, without even seeing anything, could hear everything. As the woman remained silent, Priest Vianney invited her several times to begin her confession.

Suddenly he heard a shrill voice and strong voice, calling on the saint, bishops, and other priests. The diabolical voice continued for several minutes. The hellish spirit, who had been able to make notes of the conduct of the other prelates, however, had to unveil the virtues of the Servant of God, and the poor was eventually liberated.
