Novena to the Divine Mercy

Every day you will bring to my heart a different group of souls and immerse them in the sea of My mercy. And I will bring all these souls into the house of my Father. You will do it in this life and in the future life. And I will not refuse anything to any soul that will lead you to the source of My mercy. Every day you will ask my Father for the graces for these souls for my painful Passion".

First day
"Today lead me all of humanity and especially all sinners and immerse them in the sea of My mercy. And with this you will console Me of the bitter sadness in which the loss of souls throws me".

Most merciful Jesus, whose prerogative is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, not to look at our sins, but the trust we have in Your infinite goodness and welcome you into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and not let us get out of there for eternity. We beseech you for the love that unites you to the Father and to the Holy Spirit.

Oh Omnipotence of Divine Mercy,
Refuge for sinful man,
You who are mercy and sea
of compassion. Help those who invoke you in humility.

Eternal Father, look with an eye of mercy especially the poor sinners and all humanity, which is contained in the most compassionate Heart of Jesus and for His painful Passion show us your mercy, so that for all the centuries we can exalt the omnipotence of Your mercy. Amen.

Second day
"Today lead Me the souls of the priests and the souls of the religious and immerse them in My unfathomable mercy. They gave Me the strength to overcome the bitter Passion. Through them as by means of channels, My mercy descends on humanity".

Most merciful Jesus, from whom all good comes, increases grace in us, so that we may perform worthy works of mercy, so that those who watch us praise the Father of Mercy who is in heaven.

The source of God's love,
it lodges in the clear hearts,
purified in the sea of Mercy,
bright like the stars,
clear as the aurora.

Eternal Father, look with the eyes of Your mercy the chosen host for Your vineyard, the souls of the priests and the souls of the religious, and give them the power of Your blessing, and for the feelings of the Heart of the Son, the Heart in to whom they are enclosed, grant them the power of Your light, so that they may guide others on the path of salvation, so that they may sing together for all eternity the praises of Your infinite mercy. Amen.

Third day
"Today lead Me all the devout and faithful souls and immerse them in the sea of My mercy. These souls have comforted Me along the road of Calvary, they have been a drop of comfort in a sea of bitterness".

Oh most merciful Jesus, who bestow abundant graces to all of you from the treasure of Your mercy, welcome us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and not let us come out of it for all eternity. We implore you for the ineffable love, of which Your Heart burns for the Heavenly Father.

They are inscrutable
The wonders of Mercy
he can not fathom the sinner,
in the right one.
Give everyone a look of compassion,
and attract everyone to your love.

Eternal Father, look with eyes of mercy to faithful souls, as the inheritance of your Son and for His painful Passion grant them your blessing and accompany them with your incessant protection, so that they do not lose the love and treasure of holy faith but with all the host of angels and saints glorify Your unlimited mercy forever and ever. Amen.

Fourth day
"Today bring me the pagans and those who do not know Me yet. I too thought of them in My bitter Passion and their future zeal consoled My heart. Immerse them in the sea of My mercy".

"Oh most merciful Jesus, who are the light of the whole world, welcome into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of the Gentiles who do not know You yet.The rays of Your grace enlighten them, so that they too may glorify the wonders of Your mercy and do not let them leave the dwelling place of Your most compassionate Heart.

The light of Your love,
enlighten the darkness of souls;
Make these souls know You
and glorify your mercy with us.

Eternal Father, look with eyes of mercy to the souls of the pagans and those who do not know you yet, and who are contained in the most compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them in the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness is to love you. May they also glorify the generosity of Your mercy for ever and ever. Amen.

Fifth day
"Today lead Me the souls of heretics and schismatics and immerse them in the sea of My mercy. In My bitter Passion they have torn my flesh and my heart, that is My Church. When they return to the unity of the Church, My wounds will heal and in this way they will alleviate My Passion".

Most Merciful Jesus, that you are goodness itself, You do not refuse the light to those who ask You; welcome the souls of the heretics and the souls of the schismatics into the dwelling place of Your Most Compassionate Heart; draw them with your light to the unity of the Church and do not let them leave from the abode of Your most compassionate Heart, but let them also glorify the generosity of Your mercy.

Even for those who tear
the dress of your unit,
a source of piety flows from your heart.
The Omnipotence of Your Mercy, Oh God,
He can also draw these souls from the error.

Eternal Father, look with the eyes of Your mercy to the souls of heretics and schismatics, who have dispossessed Your goods and have abused Your graces, persisting persistently in their errors. Do not pay attention to their mistakes, but to the love of your Son and His bitter Passion, which he took upon Himself for them, since they too are enclosed in the most compassionate Heart of Jesus. Let them also praise Your great mercy for the centuries of the centuries. Amen.

Sixth day
"Today lead Me the gentle and humble souls and the souls of children and immerse them in My mercy. These souls are the most similar to My heart. They supported Me in the bitter agony. I saw them as the angels of the earth who would have guarded at My altars. On them I pour My graces to full torrents. Only a humble soul is able to welcome My grace; I give full confidence to humble souls".

Most merciful.. Jesus, who said: "Learn from Me that I am meek and humble, from the heart", welcome into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the meek and humble souls and the souls of children. These souls attract the admiration of all Heaven and form the special pleasure of Heavenly Father; They are a bouquet of flowers before the throne of God, whose perfume delights God himself. These souls have a stable abode in the most compassionate Heart of Jesus and incessantly chant the hymn of love and mercy for eternity.

In truth, the humble and mild soul
already here on earth breathes heaven,
and the scent of his humble heart
the Creator himself is delighted.

Eternal Father, look with eyes of mercy to the meek and humble souls and to the souls of children, which are enclosed in the abode of the most compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are most similar to the Son Thy; their scent rises from the earth and reaches your throne. Father of mercy and of all goodness, I beseech you for the love and the satisfaction you have for these souls, bless the whole world, so that all souls will sing together the praises of Your mercy for all eternity. Amen.

Seventh day
"Today lead Me the souls that venerate in a particular way and exalt My mercy and immerse them in My mercy. These souls suffered more for My Passion and penetrated more deeply into My spirit. They are a living reflection of My compassionate heart. These souls will shine with a particular brightness in the future life. None will end in hellfire, I will defend each of them in a special way at the time of death".

Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is love itself, welcome into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls who particularly venerate and exalt the greatness of Your mercy. These souls are strong of the power of God himself, in the midst of every kind of tribulations and contrarieties, they advance trusting in Your mercy. These souls are united to Jesus and hold on their shoulders the whole of humanity. They will not be judged severely, but Your mercy will envelop them at the hour of death.

The soul that exalts the goodness of His Lord,
it is particularly loved by him,
it is always next to the living source,
and draws grace from Divine Mercy.

Eternal Father, look with eyes of mercy to the souls who exalt and venerate Your greatest attribute, that is Your unfathomable mercy and which are contained in the most merciful Heart of Jesus. These souls are a living Gospel, their hands are full of works of mercy and their soul is full of joy and sing to the Most High the hymn of mercy. I beseech you, Oh God, show them your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in you; the promise of Jesus who told them is fulfilled in them: "The souls who will honor My unfathomable mercy, I will defend them as My glory during life, but especially at the hour of death".

Eighth day
"Today lead Me the souls who are in the prison of purgatory and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. The streams of My Blood keep their thirst. All these souls are very much loved by Me; now they are giving satisfaction to My justice; it is in your power to bring them relief, Take from the treasury of My Church all the indulgences and offer them for them ... Oh, if you knew their torments, you would continually make offers for those alms and pay the debts that they have towards My justice!".

Most merciful Jesus, who said you want mercy, here I lead the souls of purgatory to the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, souls who are very dear to You and yet have to satisfy Your justice. The streams of the Blood and Water that flowed from Your Heart will extinguish the fire of purgatory, so that the power of Your mercy may also be glorified there.

From the tremendous arson of the purgatory fire,
a cry is heard from Your mercy
and they receive comfort, relief and refreshment
in the stream formed by the Blood and the Water.

Eternal Father, look with eyes of mercy to the souls who suffer in purgatory, and who are contained in the most compassionate Heart of Jesus. I beseech you for the painful Passion of the Son Jesus and for all the bitterness from which His most holy soul was flooded, show Your mercy to the souls who are under the gaze of Your justice, do not look to them except through the Wounds of Your beloved Son Jesus, for we believe that Your goodness and Your mercy are boundless.

Ninth day
"Today lead Me lukewarm souls and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My heart in the most painful way. My soul in the Garden of Olives has experienced the greatest repugnance for a lukewarm soul. They were the cause for which I said: Father, remove this cup from me, if this is Your will. For them, resorting to My mercy is the last table of salvation".

Most merciful Jesus, who are the same pity, I introduce the lukewarm souls into the dwelling of Your Most Compassionate Heart. May these souls of ice warm up in Your pure love, which look like corpses and arouse so much revulsion in You. Oh Jesus most compassionate, use the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the ardor of Your love and grant them holy love, since you can do everything.

Fire and ice can not be united,
because, or the fire is extinguished
or melt the ice,
but Your mercy, Oh God,
it can help even greater miseries.

Eternal Father, look with eyes of mercy to the lukewarm souls, which are contained in the most compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of mercy, I beseech you for the bitterness of the Passion of your Son and for His agony of three hours on the cross, allow that also they praise the abyss of Your mercy ... (404-410).
