Lectio divina
Psalm 23
The psalm begins with a solemn declaration: "the earth is the Lord's". Feelings of adoration, of love combined with a deep and moved admiration seem natural.

Meditation
A powerful man passes through the streets of the world, and everyone rushes to pay homage to him: they are subjugated. He is the master of the world, of everything, even of the powerful: but because he hid himself under the appearance of bread, few recognize in Him the sovereign of everything, the organizer of terrestrial and celestial wonders, the dispenser of wealth, He who gives and takes away power from men.
When I can see the universe from heaven, I will contemplate it all stretched towards the Tabernacle in a grandiose attitude of gratitude and submission.
I understand how valid and right is the invitation moved by the psalmist to all works to bless the Lord, because He governs them from this house, so humble and more admirable than the starry sky, so narrow and yet chosen to contain Him whom the cycles cannot contain?
Can I say or, better, do I feel that from this humble house Jesus also guides me?
When I am up there, will I have the joy of looking at the holy Tabernacle as the house that has kept me on earth, so that it will not be difficult or uncomfortable for me to be close to Jesus in his glory having been close to him, close to his house of humility, poverty, love?
Will I feel my presence in heaven as the extension of my Eucharistic life, as the reward for my faithfulness to the Eucharistic Sacrament?
Can Jesus have us closer?
Are we able to overcome a few meters or a few floors of distance to reach him personally and say... Jesus, I am here?
If I pay attention, I notice that an even more demanding heart is forming in me. The gifts with which he wants to fill me are too rich for me to be satisfied with the miserable things of the world and the religious world.
In order for all this to soon become a reality, oh. how necessary it is for me to live in the vicinity of the adorable Sacrament so that the taste for eternal things may increase in me! So that I do not dissipate the energies of my mind and heart behind the enchantment of futilities. Jesus suffered the Passion: by drawing me to the holy tabernacle He wants to remind me of this: "I am here because I have suffered"; I must think of Him when I am bored with suffering; I must look at Him in the absolute stripping of the Cross, when the comforts of life flatter me. In this contest, between eternal desires and the seductions of vanity, I found myself yesterday, today, and will find myself tomorrow. How healthy it is to hold the Holy Tabernacle so as not to feel carried away by this wind)!
Prayer for the Pope
Lord Jesus,
Eternal Shepherd of all the faithful,
you who built your Church
on the rock of Peter,
continually assist the Pope
so that he may be, according to your plan,
the living and visible sign,
and the tireless promoter
of the unity of your Church
in truth and love.
May he announce to the world with apostolic courage
all your Gospel.
May he listen to the voices and aspirations
that rise from the faithful and from the world,
may he never tire of promoting peace.
May he govern and direct the people of God
always keeping before his eyes
your example, O Christ the Good Shepherd,
who came not to be served,
but to serve and give his life for the sheep.
To us, O Lord,
grant a strong will for communion with him
and docility to his teachings.
O God, shepherd and guide of all believers,
look upon your servant Pope Leo XIV
whom you have placed to preside over your Church;
support him with your love,
so that he may edify with word and example
the people you have entrusted to him,
and together, flock and shepherd,
may they reach eternal life.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen
