The man needs to hope because hope is the engine of his act. If there is hope on the human horizon closes to the present, where there are, unfortunately, tribulations and difficulties.
Human hope can make also rest on what is this good and others less, but almost all they hope in a future crowned by success in work, in the family and in children. This despite, realized all or part of dreams, there is not hears satisfied, like this the race starts again of desires and hopes in a yearning endless. Precisely in this chasing earthly hope, only partially realized, it is breath the deception for the failed satisfaction.
In suffering from sickness, hunger, conflicts war or for injustices of various kinds of type, hope human it dissolves defeated from impotence and from despair. Pure happens in destiny destroyed by pain where the mind Yes surrenders won by not make sense, from frustration and the soul it sinks into an ocean of disappointment.
However, man, as human being, aspires to ideals and projects that have the breath of the eternal and of the infinite. It is a yearn and fervently that push him to reach that fullness human life where justice, equality and goodwill are the base of living. To reach the fullness in a nutshell of love , no longer a chimera but a throbbing reality, where the soul opens to the most sublime goals and horizons heavenly that I'm the only one I reach those who want to live fully.
Today, perhaps, we have lost sight of the essential as the transcendental. He neglected sense of belonging and we are there found a destiny in his hands that does not belong to us. Here is the need to rediscover that truth that surpass the size of the matter. A truth, so to speak, that it is not possible observed with the human eye and not even scrutinize with more complicated means of observation, but that it can simply gush from the heart. It is one truth that it comes from the heart only if God is present. This is then that reality cannot disappoint, because belongs to another size. Like the two blind men of Jericho we can also shout: "Lord, do that our eyes be opened".
If we know, then, open the heart to the love of God to make us loved by him, the plant of hope will grow up proud and vigorous. It will change, accordingly and totally, the way of life that will be supported from joy and pushed from hope. We will so ready to welcome in each moment and promptly what must be done soon. That will make us free themselves from energies dormant for some time that will make us rediscover the courage to dream.
You do not even imagine what and how many secret forces are in you that are inert, suffocated or apparently destroyed. Well, if you wish, you can revive the insatiable need to hope for the goodness of God that everything can and everything wants to give. "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and is the Lord his hope, he will be like a tree planted near the water, towards the stream he pushes his roots: he does not notice when the heat comes and his foliage is green even in the year of drought it does not worry and does not cease to produce its fruit".
(Gr 17,7-8).
Hope can then become the cry of our soul. It can become the yearning that must persist throughout our existence without ever extinguishing despite the earthly vicissitudes and multiple trials. "Those who hope in the Lord renew their strength, put wings like eagles, run without tiring, walk without getting tired".
(Is 40.31).
To hope in God's help is to overcome human limitations to discover the infinite divine providence and to experience the love of God. Only by abandoning ourselves to Him without fear and with confidence, despite our miseries, will it be possible to discover that God loves us also in our need. Then if night comes, we can recover the courage to cry out "Lord, have mercy on me".
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and the rivers will not overwhelm you: when you walk in the midst of the fire, you will not burn, the flame will not consume you, because I am the Lord your God: you are precious in my eyes, value and I love you".
(Is 43, 2-4).
When hope finally leans in the love of God, we can taste the enchantment of creation and live confident in the exultation of His Love. His goodness will illuminate our horizons and provide answers in the depths of our soul.
