I-stazione Gesù è condannato a morte:

Disse loro Pilato: «Che farò dunque di Gesù chiamato il Cristo?». Tutti gli risposero: «Sia crocifisso!». Ed egli aggiunse: «Ma che male ha fatto?». Essi allora urlarono: «Sia crocifisso!». Pilato, visto che non otteneva nulla, anzi che il tumulto cresceva sempre più, presa dell'acqua, si lavò le mani davanti alla folla: «Non sono responsabile, disse, di questo sangue; vedetevela voi!».

Pilate said to them "then what am I to do with Jesus, the so-called Messiah?" "Crucify him!" they all cried. Pilate washed his hands in front of the crowd, declaring as he did so, "I am innocent of the blood of this just man. The responsibility is yours." Mt 27:22,24

II-stazione Gesù è caricato della Croce:

 Allora lo consegnò loro perché fosse crocifisso. Essi allora presero Gesù ed egli, portando la croce, si avviò verso il luogo del Cranio, detto in ebraico Gòlgota,

Jesus was led away, and carrying the cross by himself, went out to what is called the Place of the Skull (in Hebrew, Golgotha). Jn 19:16,17

III-stazione Gesù cade per la prima volta:

 Allora Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «Se qualcuno vuol venire dietro a me rinneghi se stesso, prenda la sua croce e mi segua. Perché chi vorrà salvare la propria vita, la perderà; ma chi perderà la propria vita per causa mia, la troverà.

"If a man wishes to come after me, he must deny his very self, take up his cross, and begin to follow in my footsteps. Whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." Mt 16:24-25

IV-stazione Gesù incontra sua Madre:

Gesù allora, vedendo la madre e lì accanto a lei il discepolo che egli amava, disse alla madre: «Donna, ecco il tuo figlio!». Poi disse al discepolo: «Ecco la tua madre!». E da quel momento il discepolo la prese nella sua casa.

V-stazione Gesù è aiutato dal Cireneo:

Mentre lo conducevano via, presero un certo Simone di Cirène che veniva dalla campagna e gli misero addosso la croce da portare dietro a Gesù.

They laid hold of one Simon the Cyrenean who was coming in from the field. Then put a crossbeam on Simon's shoulder for him to carry along behind Jesus. Lk 23:26

VI-stazione Gesù è asciugato dalla Veronica:

C'erano anche là molte donne che stavano a osservare da lontano; esse avevano seguito Gesù dalla Galilea per servirlo

Many women were present looking on from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to attend to his needs. Mt 27:55

VII-stazione Gesù cade per la seconda volta:

Gerusalemme, Gerusalemme, che uccidi i profeti e lapidi quelli che ti sono inviati, quante volte ho voluto raccogliere i tuoi figli, come una gallina raccoglie i pulcini sotto le ali, e voi non avete voluto!

[Jesus said,] "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, murderess of prophets and stoner of those who were sent to you! How often have I yearned to gather your children, as a mother bird gathers her young under her wings, but you refused me." Mt 23:37

VIII-stazione Gesù consola le donne di Gerusalemme:

Lo seguiva una gran folla di popolo e di donne che si battevano il petto e facevano lamenti su di lui. Ma Gesù, voltandosi verso le donne, disse: «Figlie di Gerusalemme, non piangete su di me, ma piangete su voi stesse e sui vostri figli.

A great crowd of people followed him, including women who beat their breasts and lamented over him. Jesus turned to them and said: "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me. Weep for yourselves and for your children." Lk 23:27-28

IX-stazione Gesù cade per la terza volta:

In verità, in verità vi dico: se il chicco di grano caduto in terra non muore, rimane solo; se invece muore, produce molto frutto.

[Jesus said,] "I solemnly assure you, unless the grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat. But if it dies, it produces much fruit." Jn 12:24

X-stazione Gesù è spogliato delle vesti:

I soldati poi, quando ebbero crocifisso Gesù, presero le sue vesti e ne fecero quattro parti, una per ciascun soldato, e la tunica. Ora quella tunica era senza cuciture, tessuta tutta d'un pezzo da cima a fondo.

They took his garments and divided them four ways, one for each soldier. There was also his tunic, but this tunic was woven in one piece from top to bottom and had no seam. Jn 19:23

XI-stazione Gesù è inchiodato in Croce:

Quando giunsero al luogo detto Cranio, là crocifissero lui e i due malfattori, uno a destra e l'altro a sinistra. Gesù diceva: «Padre, perdonali, perché non sanno quello che fanno». Dopo essersi poi divise le sue vesti, le tirarono a sorte.

When they came to Skull Place, as it was called, they crucified him there and the criminals as well, one on his right and the other on his left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; they do not know what they are doing." Lk 23:33-34

XII-stazione Gesù muore in Croce:

Da mezzogiorno fino alle tre del pomeriggio si fece buio su tutta la terra. Verso le tre, Gesù gridò a gran voce: «Elì, Elì, lemà sabactàni?», che significa: «Dio mio, Dio mio, perché mi hai abbandonato?». E Gesù, emesso un alto grido, spirò.

From noon onward, there was darkness over the whole land until midafternoon. Then toward midafternoon Jesus cried out in a loud tone, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" ... Once again Jesus cried out in a loud voice and then gave up his spirit. Mt 27:45-46,50

XIII-stazione Gesù è deposto dalla Croce:

Dopo questi fatti, Giuseppe d'Arimatèa, che era discepolo di Gesù, ma di nascosto per timore dei Giudei, chiese a Pilato di prendere il corpo di Gesù. Pilato lo concesse. Allora egli andò e prese il corpo di Gesù.

Afterward, Joseph of Arimathea, a disciple of Jesus asked Pilate's permission to remove Jesus' body. Pilate granted it, so they came and took the body away. Jn 19:38

XIV-stazione Gesù è deposto nel Sepolcro:

Essi presero allora il corpo di Gesù, e lo avvolsero in bende insieme con oli aromatici, com'è usanza seppellire per i Giudei.  Ora, nel luogo dove era stato crocifisso, vi era un giardino e nel giardino un sepolcro nuovo, nel quale nessuno era stato ancora deposto.  Là dunque deposero Gesù, a motivo della Preparazione dei Giudei, poiché quel sepolcro era vicino.

They took Jesus' body, and in accordance with Jewish burial customs, bound it up in wrappings of cloth with perfumed oils. In the place where he had been crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had ever been buried. Because of the Jewish Preparation Day, they buried Jesus there, for the tomb was close at hand. Jn 19:40-42

XV-stazione Gesù è Risorto:

Ma egli disse loro: «Non abbiate paura! Voi cercate Gesù Nazareno, il crocifisso. È risorto, non è qui. Ecco il luogo dove l'avevano deposto».

"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him" (Mk 16,6).
