Let make a film of us

1998. Four nursery schools in four villages, in the country  municipality of Cazzago San Martino (BS). What is special, typical in the territory of every school?

The children from Bornato choose their castle, the ones from Cazzago centre choose the library and the park, the children from Calino the cows and those from Pedrocca the great struggle between foxes and hens.

We go and see, we take films of our visits. So children walk about in the castle, go up the wall, go down through the dungeons, while others enter the cattle-house, watch, smell. Later, all tell stories about, imagine, draw, and in the end we have our final products done: a video and a book, home set up with the computer and then professionally printed to be given to everybody.

From the library to the park, there are stories to listen and to tell: ghosts from the books and dwarfs in the bushes which  to follow the paths of.

There’s a big shed that’s the city of the hens, many thousands laying eggs. Nearby is an old abandoned quarry where foxes live in their holes. They try to come into the enclosure and stole the chicks, and men go down and try to chase them. But foxes are more artful and always succeed in slipping out.
