Discovered in 1886, this cave is situated few hundred of metres from the village of Ponte di Nava; it has been so called because of the skeleton of Ursus Spelaeus found in one of its halls. It is formed by the intersection of several tunnels in which the waters of the Tanaro river worked in different periods. Into this cave still flows a remakable river that has two siphons both towards valley and huphill.
It is a true gymnasium for biospeleologists and also the author has made his training spending several nights of search in this cavity. The fauna is varied and interesting and we cite here only the most notable entities:

, Niphargus sp., Salentinella angelieri, Moraria sp. (discover by the author and Fabio Stoch of Trieste in 1997), Buddelundiella franciscoliana, Trichoniscus voltai.ARANEAE: Leptoneta crypticola

, Petaloptila cfr. andreini (find by the author in 1998).INSECTA COLEOPTERA: Duvalius gentilei gentilei, Sphodropsis ghilianii.
MOLLUSCA GASTROPODA: Oxychilus draparnaudi (determinated by E. Gavetti) with strange light fleshes.
AMPHIBIA CAUDATA: Speleomantes strinatii.
MAMMALIA CHIROPTERA: Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, Rhinolophus hipposideros.
