fare musica
come artista
folk solista

degli anni '60,

club dell'Eire
Influenzato da
artisti come
Woody Guthrie,
Bob Dylan e la
leggenda del
folk britannico
Ewan McColl, si
trasferì per un
certo periodo
in Inghilterra
dove trovò
scritture e
ascoltatori nel
circuito dei
folk club che
stavano proprio
allora
prendendo piede
in quel paese
e, dove incise
il suo primo
album, Paddy On
The Road, in
collaborazione
con Dominic
Behan.
Tornato in
Irlanda nel
1972 incise
Prosperous,
riunendo i
musicisti che
poi avrebbero
fatto parte dei
Planxty: Dònal
Lunny, Liam O'
Flynn, Andy
Irvine. Nel
1981 costruì il
gruppo dei
Moving Hearts.
Christy Moore
viene
considerato una
leggenda della
musica folk
irlandese.
