Battlefield Band Gruppo Glasgow-based nato agli inizi degli anni settanta, hanno avuto vita tormentatatissima prima di raggiungere un meritato successo. La formazione vede la leadership condivisa tra due "membri anziani": il violinista Brian McNeil e il tastierista Alan Reid. Proprio l'inconfondibile lavoro strumentale di quest'ultimo, che rimane anche la principale voce del gruppo, è il caratterizzante più evidente del loro sound sanguigno e aggressivo che li ha resi discretamente famosi anche sul continente e negli USA.
