HF9 BUTTERNUT
Why a page about an antenna on internet ? BEACAUSE IS A GREAT ANTENNA ON ALL BAND !!!
All begin in a clubstation near mine were i went to to take party at 1999 CQWW CW contest, i read at buy & sell corner a advice of a hf9 it sold because is too long at a 50% minus of regular price so i thnk about it all night, because with it i can cover all hf band despite a 5 hf band classic ground plane.
I use it for first time at the first of november of 2000 with 10-15-20-40 radials only, i was very happy wen i compare my other antenna with this.
The original idea was to mout it with his counterpois the CPK kit but after this experiment day i decide to resell it and use one radials for each band.
Wen i mount it like described into the manual i obtain:
RECEPTION: low noise same on all band , beautyfull condition without a DSP the proof is some of my friend tell to me IS SO SILENT THIS ANTENNA !!!
TRANSMISSION: 50 Khz under the S.W.R. of 1:1,5 around 3,58 Mhz, perfect in 14, 18 e 7 Mhz, i 24 e 10 Mhz are good out of band but i use it, i 21 Mhz are good in the low portion and the 28Mhz are good around 28.6 Mhz, but with a tuner i go everywere on 50 Mhz i don't made any test because i haven't a tx for the magic band.
