E' la Culla di Tutte le Metropolitane. La Metro nacque qui.

Qui il 10 Gennaio 1863 Partì l' Avventura della Metropolitana, inaugurata il giorno prima dalla Regina Vittoria. Il Successo per un treno a Vapore ed a quell' Epoca fu stratosferico : 40.000 Viaggiatori il Primo Giorno ! Neanche la Prima Ferrovia era giunta a questo livello. Oggi Farringdon è stata rinnovata mantenendo però le sue caratteristiche originarie, e preparandosi ad accogliere sotto di essa la Super Metropolitana Regionale CROSSRAIL.
