osservazione giusta, ariana, solo che:

i due esoneri che hai fatto con me (uno per il modulo "Being" e l'altro per il modulo "Accomodation") ti esonerano dal dover portare all'esame il relativo articolo (scritto da me) che è al programma per ciascun modulo. (Ti ricordi, i due esoneri portavano su quei due articoli, oltre alle attività in classe.)

quindi non c'entra il libro con l'esonero.

e avendo fatto l'esonero hai già preso il tuo voto per l'articolo. naturalmente, tu vuoi sapere qual'è il voto, esigenza giusta in quanto conta per un terzo del voto finale, per ora ti posso dire che non ci sono stati bocciati (e ho quasi terminato) quindi rilassati

in conclusione, se hai fatto il primo esonero, quello per il modulo "modi di essere", vuol dire che NON dovrai portare all'esame finale P. Boylan, 'Being one of the group', che vale per un terzo del voto finale (e quel terzo di voto che hai preso, lo saprai presto). E non dovrai portare all'esame nemmeno le attività svolte in aule, le ricerche, ecc. Sai pure i voti che hai preso su queste attività perché, con qualche eccezione, sono stati assegnati dai capigruppo (la somma di questi voti contano per un altro terzo del voto finale). Rimane solo il libro da portare all'esame, che vale per l'ultimo terzo del voto.

mentre per il modulo "accommodation", aver superato l'esonero (e sono a metà strada e tutti l'hanno superato) vuol dire NON dover portare all'esame finale P. Boylan, 'Accommodation through a transformation of consciousness'. E nemmeno le attività svolte in aule, le ricerche, ecc. Rimane solo il libro, che vale per l'ultimo terzo del voto.

che cosa devi portare all'esame allora?

chi ha dato l'esonero (senz'essere bocciato) e ha fatto fatto TUTTE le attività (non importa il voto dato dal capogruppo, purchè non sia stata una bocciatura) è esonerato da TUTTI i capitoli tranne:

- per il modulo "modi di essere", il libro di M. Byram, Developing Intercultural Competence in Practice, i capitoli 4, 6, 7, 12.

cioè pp. 60-76, 93-110, 111-129, 189-202 vale a dire 74 pagine.

Quindi, tutti gli studenti saranno interrogati su queste 74 pagine all'esame finale.

Quelli che non hanno fatto una o più delle attività leggeranno qualche capitolo in più e saranno interrogati anche su quelle pagine. Ma per ora possono cominciare con le 74 pagine che sono per tutti.

queste 74 pagine costituiscono l'intero esame finale per il modulo "Being" per chi ha superato l'esonero e ha fatto tutte le attività. una passeggiata. e valgono per un terzo del voto finale.

Per fortuna, il libro di Byram finalmente c'è (lo troverete alla libreria d'Amico di fronte alla facoltà). E' arrivato il 4 marzo. Perché così tanto tempo se era promesso per novembre? darò la risposa a voce a chi è curioso di sapere le retroscene del mondo della distribuzione dei libri, ma in questo luogo posso dire che, con questo contrattempo, abbiamo davvero la conferma di quanto sarebbe importante che l'Italia abbia persone con competenze in inglese nell'ottica della comunicazione interculturale -- competenze che fino a presente l'uiniversità non ha nemmeno cercato di dare – anche per supplire alle carenze degli interlocutori stranieri.

-e per il modulo "accommodation", devi leggere nel libro di Bianconi il solo capitolo 3 che s'intitola "COMPETENZA O TRASFORMAZIONE INTERCULTURALE?" e che sono 52 pagine.

Di nuovo, quelli che non hanno fatto una o più delle attività leggeranno un capitolo o due in più. Ma per ora possono cominciare con le 52 pagine.

e se, metti caso, qualcuno risulta bocciato ad uno degli esoneri? Vuol dire che all'esame finale, oltre a quanto detto per i libri, sarà interrogato (di nuovo) sull'articolo Boylan oggetto dell'esonero. E sulle attività in classe relative a quel modulo.

e se, metti caso, qualcuno non ha fatto nessuna o quasi nessuna delle attività? Vuol dire che riceverà una e-mail da me indicando i capitoli in più del libro (relativo al modulo) da leggere.

Eppure ci hai chiesto di farlo, cioè di analizzare l'accomodamento di un personaggio di Nashville che sentiamo parlare in una sola scena!! Non è una contraddizione?

Article: Patrick Boylan, 'Accommodation through a transformation of consciousness'
You can choose from two versions: 'htm' (a version you can read on your computer) and 'rtf' (a version you can download and print).

Monograph: Laura Bianconi, 'Culture and Identity: Issues of Authenticity in Another Value System'.
To facilitate downloading, the monograph has been divided into five '.rtf' files of about the same size -- except for the fifth. The fifth contains in fact a large number of graphs and therefore takes up approximately 900 KB - to download it would take you froma a quarter of an hour to half an hour, according to your modem speed. To expedite downloading, this file has been 'zipped' (compressed) into a a 56KB file entitled Bianconi-5.exe. Download it and then simply click on it to decompress it.

Common European Framework of Reference
You'll hear teachers at Roma Tre (and elsewhere) speak of 'European Levels' of competence in a second language. For example, our university entry test is targeted for Level B1 in reading ability and A2 in speaking ability. What does this mean? Click the orange dot if you want to know more about the system (which many people criticize as simplistic, so it will probably undergo change in the near future).
