Sailing in the endless maze of the Web in search of curiosity, I came
across one day upon the website of the Maccagno family (now Macagno)
originally from Villafalletto (CN), but now, some of the many
descendants residing in the United States in the city of Las Vegas.
Browsing the site that tells the story and contains images that
images of the ancestors of this family, I managed to find the delivery
address of Ms Karen wife of Mr. Gil Macagno, last descendant of a branch
of the aforementioned family.
I
contacted Mrs. Karen Macagno via e-mail at once, and we agreed to
talk on the Internet.
From
here grew a nice friendship as we talked frequently via "instant
messenger" (commonly called chat), which allowed me, in time, to learn
more about the history and the events of this family settled at
the end of the nineteenth century in North America.
The
stories of Ms Karen Macagno are very interesting and exciting, both for
the historical period in which they were held, and for the personal
affairs of the individual players.
I
decide then, with the constant help of Karen, to put together all the
news that she had collected over the years and to draw a kind of story
that I found more and more interesting and exciting.
The texts that have reported have been translated from English and
therefore have a certain syntax typical of Anglo-Saxon language. I
deliberately tried to report them closely as possible in order not to
lose the sense of the phrase that otherwise could have been interpreted
incorrectly.
