| on second July | In the afternoon the triumphal float starts parading. It is preceded by the knights and pulled by eight mules in the streets of historical centre towards the cathedral. The festive and sumptuous illuminations foster its passage. In the Cathedral – square the float goes round three times as a symbol of protection of the town for a year. Later the Virgin Mary’s statue is carried back to the cathedral. |
