BROWSERS SUPPORTS

From this version, SafariXtra supports all Macintosh® Web Browsers. Tribesoft has tested SafariXtra 4 with the most recents web browsers versions. If you have a previous version of Opera (less than 6.0), SafariXtra cannot import the relative bookmarks file. We have tested this software using:

  • Apple Computer, Inc. -
    Safari v.1.0
(build 85 of WWDC 2003 - World Wide Developers Conference)
  • Omnigroup
    Omniweb 4.5RC 1 (retro-compatible)
  • Mozilla Foundation
    Mozilla Navigator 1.5 (retro-compatible - only X versions)
  • Mozilla Foundation
    Camino (ex Chimera) 0.7 (retro-compatible)
  • Mozilla Foundation
    Firebird (first public release)
  • Opera Software
Opera 6.0 (you cannot use SafariXtra with previous versions)
  • iCab Company
iCab 2.95 or grater (only X versions)
  • Microsoft
    Internet Explorer 5.23 (retro-compatible - only X versions)

Start-up Crash Problem

At this moment SafariXtra doesn't supports the history import for Opera, Chimera, Mozilla Products (Firebird/Navigator). Tribesoft will add this feature before 4.5 release of SafariXtra. If you have problems with SafariXtra importer (startup crashes) please download the debug release of this software. Launch it and open your Console.app application (located in your Utility folder), then copy the entire text into a document (rtf or simple txt) and send it to Tribesoft support mail at this address.

Tribesoft will contact you within the next three work days to say more about your problem.

SafariXtra 4 RC5 is not the final release of this software. Use at your own risk.

Updates

Important Notes for RC4

If you have downloaded the last Release Candidate 4 of SafariXtra you should read this note. There is a serious bug with the MB support

Sept 17
At this time I can't continue to develop other versions of SafariXtra. I'm working hard on Newswire. No the program is not dismissed! Never! A small update (that fix the MB bug) will be published in October. A Major upgrade (4.5?) will be released at the end of December (but there will be other small updates).

Where is my registration code?

If you have licensed your copy of SafariXtra (using Kagi service) but you haven't received your code click here. If you are inserted in this list you can send to me a mail with a nickname (ex. "The Lord"). I'll publish your nickname based code.
Why? Because my provider can't send mail to some specific mail server :-(
