.........V.B. program calculating and writing materials list for steel structure

V.B. program calculating and writing materials list for steel structures or conveying /lifting industrial plants.
I am a graduate mechanical engineer ex general and technical manager of companies concerned with industrial plants construction. To day I am developing how to shortly evaluate, with a  Visual Basic program,  designing properties of each component ( relevant weight too) of industrial items as for: buildings, industrial huts, high chimneys, cranes, roller-belt conveyors, powder exhausting plants for belt-conveyors, silos, hoppers, cilindrical and spherical reservoirs, water towers, band boards conveyors, redlers, shelters, etc. These programs don't evaluate only static and dynamic general and local stresses, deformations and sways, but, even more, stability and safety, and on all this basis, the proper shapes and plates are chosen, on respecting imposed deformations either. Material database is automatically written down. In other words these programs put down a list of each component of relevant steel structure or plant, specifying , for example
for each column - WF (HEA) ; area....; weight/ft....; Depht of section....; I... , S..., r...., for axis 1 and 2
for each beam- CBL (IPE) ; area....; others data as for columns
for each plate: dimensions... ; thickness

This DYNAMIC  DEMO   program, dealt with the ultimate plastic bending moment for a double T welded section. The proposed final value, aims to be more precise then those coming from usual literature or specifications too. We take care about steel resistance reserve behind its yeld point as well as shear and normal efforts.

 DEMO  dealt with a  method  based on deformation minimum value for the design of bulkeads  axially loaded on all 4 sides,   and under an uniformly distributed load. Simple supported panel on 4 sides.

PROGRAM   on joining, by welding different steels in composition (stainless and carbon).

Gives a simple automatic process to choose the right filling metal or starting from an established filling metal, gives the final joint composition.

Program  dealt with the  evaluation  of bending moments for  slabs with a special shape, taking in account of perimetral beams deflection. Italian language only.

Program  dealt with the  deflection and bending moments evaluation for slabs with a special shape (trapezoidal, triangular, rhomboidal, etc.) , symmetrical and asymmetrical supporting . Italian language only.  On demand a copy in english can be sent.
