THE AUTHORS
SERGIO PONCHIONE (artist)
Born in Asti in 1975, where he lives and works. After High
School Art diploma, in 1997 he published his first comics
on the periodical "USCITA DI SICUREZZA" and on "MALTESE
NARRAZIONI", fiction magazine on which he still collaborate
nowadays as redactor, comics author and illustrator. Sergio's
contributes are also present in "COLLEZIONE DA TIFFANY"
(EIG 2002), Maltese Narrazioni's anthology. In 1999 he begun
to cooperate with Sergio Bonelli Editore on "JONATHAN
STEELE" serie as inker and penciller, before joining
J.Steele's permanent staff. In the meantime, he realized the
comic book "PRIMA DI MEZZANOTTE" published by Liberty,
based on Federico Memola's text.
In 2002, as complete author, he created L'Obliquomo, a weird
character starring on two stories appeared on nn. 4/5 of "BLACK"
magazine (Coconino Press). The first story will be also published
in France, in the french version of Black, scheduled for Angoulème
2004 by Coconino France/ Vertige Graphic.
Ponchione is also graphic contributor of ISTITUTO BARLUMEN,
a group of artists which produces radio and live shows, readings
and more.

FEDERICO MEMOLA (writer)
Born in 1967 in Milan, Federico starts
his scriptwriter career in 1991 publishing on Fumo di China
magazine (for which he is redactor from 1990 to 1993) the
short series "Moon Police Dpt.". After some stories
written for the magazine L’Intrepido, in 1993 he joins
Sergio Bonelli Editore as redactor, working with Alfredo Castelli
at the series Martin Mystère.
In the meantime, he begins to write scenarios for Nathan Never,
Legs Weaver and, above all, Zona X, of which he becomes editor
in 1995 and upon which he creates the series “La stirpe
di Elän” and “Legione Stellare”. In
2000 he writes the script for the comic book “Prima
di Mezzanotte”, while nowadays he writes scripts for
the series Jonathan Steele, that he created in 1999 and which
he is editor for, and Martin Mystère, both edited by
Sergio Bonelli Editore.
From 1990 to 1995 he writes various articles about comics,
movies and animation for the magazines Fumo di China, Wow,
Comix, Zoom, Mangazine, Kappa Magazine, Almanacco della fantascienza,
TuttoZagor.

ELETTRA GORNI (colorist)
Graduated in Italian Modern Literature,
she publishes for the first time her comics in 1989, on Schizzo
magazine, edited by the Centro Fumetto Andrea Pazienza (Cremona).
In 1992 she opens her authoress career on pages of the review
“Starcomix” (Edizioni Star Comics), for which
she realizes some stories whose protagonist is the anthropomorphous
femine dog Frida. Also in 1992 she begins her co-operation
with Macchia Nera editions of Milan: for Lupo Alberto Magazine
she creates the Cocche Belle (Beautiful Chicks), five wild
girls that becomes Elettra’s main characters in her
comics drawer career. Thanks to the Cocche Belle, she wins
the Cane Giallo – Fumo di China Prize as best new comical
authoress. Afterwards her artworks were published by various
reviews, such as Blue, Humor, L’isola che non c’e’,
Totem Comics, Giovane. She published three long Cocche Belle
stories in comic books edited by (first) De Falco/Sciacallo
Elettronico Editions, Novara (1999-2000), and then by the
Centro Fumetto Andrea Pazienza, Cremona.
