La portaerei Terrible è stata varata nel 1944 ed è stata trasferita alla Marina Reale Australiana sotto il nome di HMAS Sidney nel 1948. E' stata radiata nel 1948, rimessa in servizio come nave trasporto truppe nel 1962. La portaerei Sidney ha partecipato alla guerra di Corea ed alla Guerra del Vietnam. E' stata radiata per la seconda volta nel 1973 ed è stata venduta alla Corea del Sud per essere demolita.
She was launched in 1944, and was transferred to the Royal Australian Navy, under the name of HMAS Sydney in 1948. She was decommissioned in 1958, recommissioned as a fast troop transport in 1962. Sydney participated in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. She was decommissioned for the second time in 1973, sold to a South Korean steel mill in 1975, and broken up for scrap.
