Two antithetical stands co-exist in his paintings. On the one hand there's a kind of laborious, attentive, "applied" art... On the other... art is treated as an invention, "the emotion that corrects the rule." The final result is absolutely surprising for both the perceptive clarity with which the contrast appears in a homogenous vision and the immediate effect of the color... which gives over to a vaguely surrealistic vein, from Arp to Mirò, but with an underlying layer of soft eroticism, which represents the richest and most stimulating element in these paintings. Nei suoi quadri coesistono felicemente due posizioni antitetiche. Da una parte una sorta di laboriosa, attenta, arte "applicata"... Dall'altra... l'arte come invenzione, "l'emozione che corregge la regola"... Il risultato finale è dei più sorprendenti, per la chiarezza percettiva con cui il contrasto si compone in una visione d'insieme, e l'effetto immediato del colore... Donde una vena vagamente surrealista, da Arp a Mirò, ma con un sottofondo di sottile erotismo, che rappresenta l'elemento più ricco e stimolante di questi quadri.
