The Reader programs was describe in the C64 emulator page They was used by me for reading the tape of C64 from the datasette directly by the PC with a simple cable to connect into PC parallel port and tape cable.
In the next pages I describe the format of Commodore tape files, plus other formats (Turbo was studied but not describe completely as the others).
Due to the handled working around the formats, the description may be bugged, but the programs work correctly (I read all my cassette program, only some methods of READER3 were not completed).
However I Insert a comment [] where I recently see some mistakes.
A very important note: I put some assembler listings of tape formats that use copy protection methods. This is done only for study porpoise and for preserve my cassette to damage. Use this information only for legal action.
