Another "historical" cave, known from a lot of years that represents a particular case of karst in the kalkschistes. It is the greater of a system of 4 cavities that open in the mountain, few hundred of metres far from the mountain village called Pugnetto.
It is the locus typicus of the subspecies caprae of the Isopoda Alpioniscus feneriensis
, and of the Leptodirinae Dellabeffaella roccai.
The author, together to Fabio Stoch of Trieste, carried out search also in the little inner stream where has been found a species of Niphargus
.
There are specialized Araneae: Nesticus eremita and a Linyphiidae (prob. Troglohyphantes sp.), another subtroglophile Linyphiidae, Porrhomma convexum, a numerous colony of Dolichopoda ligustica subspecies septentrionalis and numerous Oxychilus.
Moreover, the author has pick up Dellabeffaella roccai, that was indicated only for the Greater Cave, also in other two cavities of the zone, the higher and the lower Pugnetto Caves.
