The awards won by this radio:
"Approved RADIO NEWS laboratories established 1922";
"APPROVED POPULAR RADIO LABORATORY";
"APPROVED BY POPULAR SCIENCE INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS".

Metro Electric Company, Chicago. Metrodyne Single Dial, probably manufactured in 1928 or 1929 (the last year that Metro was in business).
In Italy it was imported as "model 480, Ultrapotente 9".

I am looking for its electric diagram (It was attached under the cover, but this paper and the tubes are missing in my radio). It is a 9 tubes receiver: 80 rectifier, 6x 01A RF-IF-DET, 2x 71A BF Push-Pull.

Its variable capacitors, made by an alloy (zinc-aluminium-manganese) that in Italy we call "zama", are irreparably distorted... anyone know if spare parts are available somewhere or know a solution?
