Nicole denies wedding

Nicole Appleton has denied reports she is to marry Liam Gallagher on St Patrick's Day.
The singer says it is unlikely they'll tie the knot before next year, as they are too busy to organise a wedding.

The couple have a 18-month-old son called Gene. Nicole told GMTV: "We've no plans to marry - it's too difficult at the moment.

"We'd need a good few months to organise, some time off and a holiday. Maybe next year. We're happy anyway so what's the rush?"

Noel re-records Wonderwall

Oasis have re-recorded their most famous single 'Wonderwall', NME can exclusively reveal.

The group originally released the Britpop anthem in October 1995 when it entered the UK chart at Number Two, and it is now acknowledged as a landmark record for a generation and the most famous Oasis song ever.

Noel Gallagher re-entered a studio over the festive period to re-record the track and sources close to the band have told NME that the new version is "completely different" to its studio predecessor, with Noel singing instead of Liam.

The new version is believed to have been inspired by Ryan Adams, who covered the song recently in his live set.

Noel recently commented: "I never got my head round this song until I went to see Ryan Adams play and he did an amazing cover of it. So now I'm going to cover one of my own songs in the style of Ryan Adams."

An Oasis insider told NME: "Since he saw Ryan Adams playing his song in a completely different way, it's rejuvenated his interest in it. It's given Noel a way to make it his own again."

Noel to appear on BBC TV show

Noel Gallagher is to appear on the BBC Friday night chat show 'Patrick Kielty Almost Live'.

Noel is pencilled in to talk to the Irish funnyman on February 7th. The show is broadcast on BBC1 in the UK at 10.35pm. There is no news thus far as to who Noel's fellow guest(s) will be.

The show is filmed in Kielty's homeland of Northern Ireland. Whilst in Belfast, reports suggest Noel will be calling in at the 'Limelight', a venue in the city's Ormeau Avenue.

The venue is bound to hold great memories for him. Oasis played the 'Limelight' way back on 4th September 1994 - the very night that 'Definitely Maybe' shot straight to the top of the British album charts and paved the way for a new era of British rock music, with Oasis the defining act of a geneneration.

Oasis stop Ronan covering song

Ronan Keating wants to "rock up" his image and has turned to the most unlikely pair to launch him into superstardom in the States: Liam and Noel Gallagher.

Ronan - who is more likely to win Eurovision than become a leather-clad rock god - has asked the grim duo if he could do a cover of their hit Cigarettes And Alcohol.

Not surprisingly, he was told to bog off by the Oasis camp.

A source of "The Mirror" said: "Ronan is desperate to shake off his mushy ballad image and wanted to make a big impression.
"He and his wife Yvonne are planning to spend the next six months in America, where he'll be recording his next album.
"He has co-written many of the tracks with his pal Bryan Adams. But he thought doing an old Oasis cover would really go down well. He is a big fan of Oasis, especially their old stuff. But, sadly, it's not reciprocated."

Paul Gallagher's troubles

The skint older brother of Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher hops on a bus - as he copes with debts and living on handouts.

Paul Gallagher, 37, has not worked since losing his high-rolling job as a talent scout for the band's former record label.

He owes £1,350 in bills and unpaid council tax and scrapes by on £200-a-week handouts from Noel - who is worth £25 million. And even though he lives in a house bought by Noel he can't even afford gas and electricity bills.
