Parlaci del tuo lavoro.

La pittura fa parte ormai della mia vita. Creare qualcosa di unico è una grande soddisfazione. Da una mia idea nasce un dipinto e con colori e pennelli riesco a dare vita a questa idea. Penso che sia una cosa meravigliosa dipingere i propri sogni e le proprie idee. E ancor più bello sapere che qualcuno prova nei miei dipinti sensazioni ed emozioni, tanto che diventa proprietario di quell'opera per godere a tempo pieno di esso.

Tell us about your brand.

Painting is now part of my life. Creating something unique is a great satisfaction. From an idea a painting is born and with colors and brushes we give life to this idea. I think it is a wonderful thing to paint one's dreams and ideas. It is even more beautiful to know that someone feels sensations and emotions in my paintings so much that he becomes the owner of that work for full time coding of it

Quando hai capito che questa era la strada giusta per te?

Durante i miei studi universitari di ingegneria civile ho scoperto che la mia vita aveva bisogno di qualcosa di più profondo e vero. Ai miei studi tecnici mancava la poesia e il colore della vita. Ho sempre disegnato e dipinto fin da piccolo ma in quegli anni ho iniziato, grazie all'amicizia con alcuni pittori, a dipingere seriamente e esporre le mie opere in mostre collettive e personali. Fu subito un successo e proposi da subito a gallerie d'arte in Italia i miei lavori. Ho iniziato ad esporre online sul sito SAATCHI ART trovando da subito collezionisti in tutto in mondo. Fui poi selezionato da una galleria d'arte francese Carrè d'Artistes iniziando ad esporre a Parigi in Montmartre. Furono 4 anni intensi di lavoro e soddisfazioni, con frequenti viaggi e soggiorni a Parigi. La pittura era ormai parte della mia vita, del mio essere.

When did you know that this was the right path for you?

During my university studies in civil engineering I discovered that my life needed something deeper and more true. My studies lacked poetry and the color of life. I have always drawn and painted until then but in those years I began to paint seriously and exhibit my works in collective and personal exhibitions thanks to my friendship with some painters. It was an immediate success and I immediately proposed my works to art galleries in Italy. I started exhibiting online on the SAATCHI ART website, immediately finding collectors all over the world. I was selected by a French art gallery Carrè d'Artistes, starting to exhibit in Paris in Montmartre. They were immediately 4 years of work and satisfaction, with frequent trips and stays in Paris. Painting was now part of my life, of my being.

Cosa ti piace di più di quello che fai?

Dipingo tutti i giorni e quasi tutta la giornata. La pittura è per me rilassante e gratificante. Su uno sfondo colorato che preparo in anticipo disegno il mio soggetto: un animale, un oggetto, una figura, un albero. L'idea è già nella mia testa e tanti sono i dipinti che già esistono nella mente. Aspettano solo che il tempo programmato arrivi e si avveri. Dopo il disegno che si compone sulla tela di cotone, sia piccola che grande, comincio a dipingere con i miei colori ad olio. Ho troppe idee e dipinti nella mia testa che non posso permettermi di dedicare infinito tempo a un dipinto. Finché sono impegnato in un lavoro, questo mi assorbe completamente, è come un cagnolino da accudire, nutrire, coccolare, accarezzare, correre. Ma poi una volta finito, devi aprire la porta e dargli libertà, in modo che qualcun altro possa goderne. È meraviglioso poter dare vita alle mie idee, ai miei soggetti, alle mie fantasie. Ieri erano unicamente nella mia testa e domani verranno appesi al muro di qualcuno che godrà dei miei colori, delle sue atmosfere, delle sfumature. Una mia opera pittorica appesa in casa è come una finestra di vita che chiunque può avere, per aiutarlo a viaggiare, a pensare, a sognare, a sorridere. Dipingo per regalare a questo mondo momenti di positività, di serenità, sorrisi che aiutino ogni giorno ad affrontare la vita con positività. I miei quadri sono sereni, sono leggeri, sono sognanti, sono colorati, sono quei mondi in cui vorresti aprire le braccia e volarci dentro. E qualcuno ci riesce...

What do you like most about what you do?

I paint every day and for many hours of the day. Painting is relaxing and rewarding for me. On a colored background that I prepare in advance drawing my subject: animal, object, figure, tree. The idea is already in his head. So many are the paintings that already exist in his mind. They wait only for the time programmed to go out and come true. After the drawing that is composed on the cotton canvas, both small and large, I begin to paint with my oil colors. I have too many ideas and paintings in my head that I cannot afford to spend too much time on a painting. As long as he am engaged in a job, it absorbs all of myself, it is like a little dog to take care of, to feed, to cuddle, to caress, to run. But then once finished, you have to open the door and give it freedom, so that someone else can enjoy it. It is wonderful to be able to give life to my ideas, my subjects, my fantasies. Yesterday they were alone in his head and tomorrow they will be hung on the wall of some person who will enjoy my colors, in his atmospheres, of nuances. One of my pictorial works hanging in the house is like a window of life that anyone can put into the home, to help him travel, to think, to dream, to smile. I paint to give to this world moments of positivity, of serenity, of smiles that help every day to face life with a smile. My paintings are serene, they are light, they are dreamy, they are colorful, they are those worlds in which you would like to open your arms and fly inside. And someone succeeds ...

Qual è il più grande ostacolo che hai affrontato nella tua carriera e come l'hai superato?

In Italia è molto difficile vivere di pittura, anche se i tuoi lavori sono esposti in varie gallerie d'arte. In Italia l'arte è dappertutto e gli italiani non comprano arte. E' per questo motivo che ho deciso di uscire fuori dai confini nazionali e grazie ad alcune gallerie d'arte internazionali sono riuscito a portare i miei dipinti in ogni parte del nostro mondo. La mia arte è universale, immediata, e i miei colori e le mie sensazioni sanno arrivare a chi vive in Giappone come in Australia, ad un americano come ad un norvegese. La mia arte è per tutti. E di tutti.

What is the biggest obstacle you have faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?

In Italy it is very difficult to make a living from painting, even if your works are exhibited in various art galleries. In Italy art is everywhere and Italians don't buy art. It is for this reason that I decided to go outside the national borders and thanks to some international art galleries I was able to bring my works to every part of our world. My art is universal, immediate, and my colors and my sensations know how to reach those who live in Japan, or in Australia or in the American or Norwegian style. My art is for everyone.

Se il tuo telefono potesse squillare in questo momento con l'opportunità dei tuoi sogni, quale sarebbe?

Il mio sogno è una grande retrospettiva dei miei lavori promossa da qualche mecenate che ama la mia arte. Dopo 30 anni di pittura ho dipinto migliaia di dipinti e già ora si può tracciare e capire il mio personale percorso artistico. Ancora è presto per un museo a me dedicato, ma questo sarebbe il mio più vero grande sogno della vita: riunire la mia opera per mostrarla alle persone di tutto il mondo. So che è un sogno irrealizzabile, ma i sogni sono belli e veri proprio perché al limite delle possibilità. Ma ci credo ancora. E sempre ci crederò...

If your phone could ring right now with your dream opportunity, what would that be?

My dream is a great retrospective of my works promoted by some patron who loves my painting. After 30 years of painting I have painted thousands of paintings and already now you can trace and understand my artistic path. It is still early for a museum dedicated to me, but this would be my greatest dream: to bring my work together to show it to people all over the world. I know it is a pipe dream, but dreams are beautiful and true precisely because they are at the limit of possibilities. But I still believe it.

Cosa vuoi che le persone ricordino di più di te e della tua carriera?

Io voglio che i miei dipinti suscitino e ricordino positività e pace. Il mio lavoro è colore e vita, è amore e sogno, è energia e riposo della mente. Se un mio dipinto riesce a dare una sensazione positiva a chi lo osserva, la mia missione e il mio lavoro è già ripagato delle sue energie, del suo tempo, delle sue fatiche. Chi pensa Trevisan vorrei che ricordasse di me una emozione positiva, ironica, onirica.

What do you want people to remember most about you and your career?

I want my paintings to evoke and remember positivity and peace. My work is color and life, it is love and dream, it is energy and rest of the mind. If one of my paintings manages to give a positive feeling to those who observe it, my mission and my work is already rewarded with its energies, its time, its efforts. Those who think Trevisan would like him to remind me of a positive, ironic, dreamlike emotion.
