Il dipinto "California light pool" raffigura una piscina accanto a una
casa moderna, con un subacqueo pronto a tuffarsi da un trampolino
posizionato sul lato destro del dipinto. Dimensioni del dipinto: 100 x
100 x 3,5 cm di spessore. L'opera d'arte è dipinta su una tela da
galleria spessa 3,5 cm, è anche dipinta sul bordo ed è pronta per essere
appesa al muro. "California light pool" rende omaggio al famoso dipinto
pop art dell'artista inglese David Hockney, in cui però compare un
grande spruzzo d'acqua creato dal subacqueo, cioè pochi secondi dopo il
dipinto di Trevisan. Nel dipinto c'è la veduta di una piscina con alle
spalle un edificio di architettura modernista degli anni '60 tipico
delle case californiane. Un trampolino giallo sporge dal lato destro del
dipinto, sopra il quale è raffigurato un subacqueo in costume da bagno
bianco poco prima di tuffarsi nella piscina blu, il cui bordo è
delineato da una striscia blu e da una bianca più sottile. Il dipinto è
proiettato in una dimensione orizzontale così come non solo al subacqueo
ma anche all'occhio dell'osservatore uno spazio blu libero della piscina
ancora vuota: rappresenta una dimensione di libertà su cui proiettare
sia l'immersione che la dimensione dei nostri sogni. I colori utilizzati
sono volutamente omogenei e decisi per enfatizzare la forte luce
californiana e conferire al dipinto una versione pop art. Il trampolino
giallo si staglia drammaticamente sull'acqua turchese della piscina, che
riecheggia nel turchese intenso del cielo. L'architettura dell'edificio
è rappresentata da un blocco rettangolare con un lungo muro finestrato,
davanti al quale è chiaramente delineata una sedia pieghevole. Palme su
tronchi lunghi e sottili ornano lo sfondo del dipinto lungo l'intera
lunghezza dell'edificio. Altre palme ed edifici lontani si riflettono
nelle finestre della casa.

The "California light pool" painting
depicts a swimming pool next to a modern house, with a diver ready to
dive from a diving board positioned on the right side of the painting.
Dimensions of the painting: 100 x 100 x 3.5 cm thick. The artwork is
painted on 3.5cm thick gallery canvas, it is also painted on the edge
and is ready to hang on the wall.
"California light pool" pays homage to the famous pop art painting by
the British artist David Hockney, in which, however, a large spray of
water created by the diver appears, that is, a few seconds after
Trevisan's painting. In the painting there is a view of a swimming pool
with a 1960s modernist architecture building typical of Californian
houses behind it. A yellow diving board protrudes from the right side of
the painting, above which a diver in a white bathing suit is depicted
just before diving into the blue pool, the edge of which is outlined by
a blue stripe and a thinner white one. The painting is projected in a
horizontal dimension so as not only to the diver but also to the eye of
the observer a free blue space of the still empty swimming pool: it
represents a dimension of freedom on which to project both the immersion
and the dimension of our dreams. The colors used are deliberately
homogeneous and decisive to emphasize the strong Californian light and
give the painting a pop art version. The yellow diving board stands out
dramatically on the turquoise water of the pool, which echoes in the
intense turquoise of the sky. The architecture of the building is
represented by a rectangular block with a long windowed wall, in front
of which a folding chair is clearly delineated. Palm trees on long, thin
trunks adorn the background of the painting along the entire length of
the building. Other palm trees and distant buildings are reflected in
the windows of the house.
