ORIGINAL EDITION (1947) FLAT EDITION (1950) Three types of package were realized: 1) Popular outfit; 2) Combination set; 3) Superset FLAT EDITION (1960) CONTINENTAL EDITION (1960) With the Continental Edition the flat era ended and realistic miniatures era started. In the Display Edition there only were the goals, two teams and balls, while in the Club Edition there were in anymore the field and the fencing. The Floodlighting edition was as the Club Edition + floodlights; The International edition, that arrived in 1969, was composed from the floodlighting edition + photographers, referee, TV tower, corner flags, third team. 1970-72 CONTINENTAL EDITION The same four packages remained with the only change that concerned the boxes and the picture set on them. 1972-77 CONTINENTAL EDITION In these versions there were no changes for the Display Edition, while in the Club Edition the red fencing were replaced with the flags. In the version International and in the Floodlighting, the floodlights are of the new type (that remain the best ever realized). 1970 SPECIAL EDITION The first Special Edition was born in 1970 and it was a version widened of the International Edition. The box was of two trays and foresaw in more, the fencing, the scoreboard, halt-time scoreboard, the Rimet cup, the whistle and the target for the training. In 1971 it has become the version "World Cup" (without New) equal to the preceding one but with the new version of the floodlights. In 1973 there has been a further change of the box World Cup that remained up to 1978: it remains of the preceding one but the teams of Italy and Brazil are changed with Germany and Holland. England remains. There were World Cup goals instead of those to round poles and green plastic base (C112). From 1974 to 1977 the box Munich World Series Edition is also sold that has in anymore the corner kicks, throw-in figures, the ball boys and the interchangeable goalkeepers. |
1977-78 RE-BOXED EDITION In 1977 the boxes were re-design. This has been the only change. Important, however, it is the addition of the version "Stadium Edition" that it replaced the Munich Edition. In more, in comparison to this, there was a grandstand, the policemen sets and the benches, and the box was formed from three trays. The International Edition didn't exist anymore. . 1979-80 RE-BOXED EDITION In 1979 in the box the polystyrene instead of the cardboard has been introduced for holding the pieces. For the rest the same editions remained.
1981-82 REBOXED-EDITION The series of these years had a League Edition (equal to the Display), a Club Edition and a Floodlighting Edition that they were equal to the preceding ones as contained but with a different package. Instead the International Edition was re-introduced and it had the content of the preceding version World Cup. Then there has been the introduction of the version FIFA World Cup that was a Club Edition with in anymore the FIFA World Cup. Finally the version Stadium Edition remained with the same components, even if modernized.
1983-89 WADDINGTON EDITION In 1983-84 the League Edition was realized, and it was definitely cancelled in 1984. In 1983-85 the Club Edition was always equal with different box. Still in 1983-84 an European Edition was realized with France and Germany, goals, field, flags, balls and fencing. In the 1983-84 Floodlighting Edition was also changed the box as for the International Edition and for the Stadium Edition. In 1985 and up to 1989 the World Cup Edition was re-introduced after a 5 year-old absence and it contained the goals Tournament, the modern score-board, adhesive Numbers, goalkeepers and teams of 15 players. In 1986 the Club Edition changed the type of flags and Football game was written on the box instead of Table Soccer. In 1986 there was also the last version of the International Edition with the change of the writing Table Soccer with the new Football Game. The 87-89 Club Edition was the only available in that years together with the World Cup. It was the same but the logo became red. In the 88-89 the Grandstand Edition replaces the Stadium Edition stopped in the 84. In this the Rimet Cup and the floodlighting missed. 1990-95 THE FINAL WADDINGTON EDITION The edition 1990-92 of the Club Edition missed Football Game on the logo. In 1990 there was Italy 90 Edition, the same one of the World Cup Edition precedent but with the name Italy 90 and some accessories proper of Italy 90 type goals, balls and field. Then there was the edition 1990-91 of the World Cup Edition with goals Tournament, score-board, fencing, adhesive numbers, 2 teams, field. With the 1993-95 Club Edition there was another change of figure on the box, while the World Cup Edition 1993-94 was as the preceding but prepared for USA 94. In 1995 the last version of the Floodlight Edition was produced, always equal to the preceding ones but with the new column floodlights. . 1996-2001 THE HASBRO RANGE. Version 1996-97 of the Club Edition with new goals. In 1996 the Euro96 Edition was produced as the World 90 Cup but with box Euro96. In 1996-99 two packages of Premiere League Edition was produced. The first one was composed from 2 teams, 2 goals, balls premiere league, flags, Premiere cup and field. The second also had a score-board and a different photo. In the 98-99 new box also for the Club Edition, while in 1998 the France 98 World Cup Edition went out with Brazil, France and Italy or England. New line for the corners kicks and throw-in figures and balls Tango. In 1998-99 there was the Manchester United Edition that it was as the Club Edition but with field with the logo of the manchester and three teams: inside and external uniform of the manchester + a blue. In 2000-01 the Premiere League Edition and the Manchester United Edition change the box, and DeLuxe Edition finally go out, always in 2000-2001, equal to the Grandstand Edition.
