FINAL SENTENCE OF THE SHINANO

Leggendaria!!

GIUDIZIO DELLO SHINANO

I begin this my  free dissertation on the battleship Bismarck saying that very probably it is the more ship difficult to judge.

To the appearance this can seem a hazardous or inaccurate affirmation since thousand of pages are been written on this battleship and it are known everything on it, almost up to the last bolt of its keel.

The basic problem in to formulate an objective judgment is not in the scarce knowledge of the boat but in the fact that is difficult to separate the ship from the myth.

The Bismarck is in fact the ship that more than all (together perhaps to the Victory of Nelson) it has suffered this unstoppable trial of mitizzazione.

Of however the elements to make to rise it in the iperuranio of the ships there are everybody.

On call The good battle ship in the moment of its entrance is sent new, flaming to fight against the glorious Royal Navy.

In an epic clash it sinks with an only cannonade the Hood, pride of the same Royal Navy, considered up to that unsinkable moment and it seriously hurts the Prince of Wales, ship of point of the same British harbor.

From that moment, also knowing to be hunted by the whole fleet English, it doesn't escape but it bravely accepts the struggle.

You/he/she is made ungovernable by an unlucky torpedo and it attends with pride and safety his/her own inexorable end.

He/she fights alone and immobilized against four unities of his/her own class withstanding for a long time against the broadsides of the hostile unities before sinking.

Oltrettuto from the recent excursion of Cameron in the sea abysses has emerged that the Bismarck has not very probably been sunk by the broadsides of the Rodney and the King George V, if had probably been for the action of these ships would be anchors floating!

The examination of the wreckage, performed through a sophisticated battiscafo you/he/she has shown, in fact, as the ship is sunk because of the positions of depth inside the ship operated by the same sailors to prevent the destroyers English to tow the hull of the ship until in England.

The Bismarck has done therefore a glorious karakiri to prevent from becoming a war prey of inestimable technological value.

This is the history that legend is made.

Merely analyzing the Bismarck from the technical point of view can be observed as it was, during the launching, the good battleship of the world.

Fast, powerful, armored in exemplary way, endowed with a mighty artillery, rapids and mortally effective, of a level of training of its almost perfect crew, it was alone able to arouse fear to the whole Royal Navy.

The only verifiable defect was the radar, well more primitive in comparison to that of the ships English (you see the example of the meeting with the Suffolk and the Norfolk).

In conclusion it can be said that the Bismarck has not been in absolute the good battleship of the world (the following classes Iowa and New Jersey had speed, radar and anti-aircraft armament best in comparison to the German) but undoubtedly it is and it will be forever the most famous and glorious battleship of the world for his/her history that confines with the legend.

Legendary!!
