CAPRICCI IRLANDESI

A journey can be a good occasion to amuse oneself, to know new things, to explore different milieu. It can be also an occasion to explore oneself. to give oneself away in front of new things rich of deep and sometime simbolic significate. This trip to Ireland has been like this, and it has produced , as a very particular result, the creative rielaboration of images riflecting, besides the unquestionable beauty and charm of a land naturally and historically mysterious and unkown to the most of peoole, the acctracion toward what is silence, secret, almost magic. The idea of Experimanting in photograph the tecnic of Capriccio, dear to some artists in the settecento, may appear at least strange, as strange is often considered the new, the particular at its beginning. Actually, the theme offered by the Irish images collected by Fabio Rinaldi, turn out to be right for the enterprise. It has been, with no doubt, a long, delicate and anything but simple work for what concerns the tecnic, but the result appears extremely interesting in its intention of comunicate the depth of the emotion and teh torment and the unspoken suffering of who is looking for a sense of life about what riflect and who is trying to comunicate to the others, letting apart the verbal language, limited to express the tones of the artistic expressivity and letting place to the Reality. For who is going to approach this exibition, the advice to get the message of the author is not only to estimate the operas under an estetic point of view, but also to let the images touch and make vibrate the strings of emotionality. THE AWAKENING OF THE EMPIRE

In the traditional ichnography the ancient remains of temples, that in a remote age towered above the cities, gathering in theri inside the sign of strenght, of power and of religious devotion, still inspire respect, a reverent and almost mystical respect. The great vestiges that desperately seek safety from the stinging blows of time, succed in coming to life again thanks to the human presence. Moreover, the nude, with its high symbolic value, traces the mind back to life worth, in its absolute and extraordinary simplicity. So, the nude, is prolific and discreet, inclined to give life again even to the past, saving those rocks from the impudent ravages of time. A primordial nude, let me say, sharply party with the atmosphere of subtle peace that is enframed by columns, arcades, arches and amphitheatres, that in their ensamble confuse and charm the observer. It's a motherly nude that immortalize time, stealing time to time, alienating at once all the coordinates of space and time, which are useless at this point. How can we ignore the closed eyes, in confirmation of peacefulness, how can we not feel the vague lightness of those feminine shapes aming to diffuse more mystery and emotion? We can imagine the awesomeness and the power of those ancient works only through the tihngs that time has left to us. A deep desire of people who explore time through the ancient men's works is to bring back to life a greatness that is able to confuse still today. Fabio Rinaldi restores this respect for the past through a set of images that aimes to give life again to what is memory. His discreet nude seems to be in symbiosis with landscape and with those ancient rocks wich evoke the touching presence. Tullio FRAGIACOMO
