Plathelmintes, Turbellaria, Tricladida

Turbellaria, Tricladida, Planaridae, Dugesia sp. - This Plathelmintes has been found by the author during several visits to the cave "Tana di Morbello" ("Lair of Morbello") (4 Pi/Al - Morbello, Costa, Alessandria). The taxonomic determination of this animals is laborious and it's necessary to have living specimens. A determination attempt of this species is already failed due to a laboratory thermostat malfunction. We can define this planarian as "troglophile"; they preserve yet atrophic eyes and are partially depigmentated with respect to those ones that live in the epigean pools. Real dimensions: about 15 mm.
