dicembre - Baldwins At War: Sparring Hollywood couple Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger are caught in a bitter tug-of-love battle over their daughter
Ireland. Court papers from Los Angeles reveal that Baldwin has been forced to attend anger management classes in
London, before taking parenting classes on his return to Los Angeles. Baldwin and
Basinger's seven-year marriage fell apart in 2001 and have now created a lengthy list of rules governing when they can and cannot see their seven- year-old little girl, who currently lives with her
mother. These rules state that Baldwin must pay for a phone line for Ireland so she can speak to him - but only between the hours of 7-8am and 6-6:30pm, while he may only contact his ex-wife in an
emergency. While every Friday his blonde wife must send him an email telling him what his daughter has been doing that
week, which he will have 48 hours to respond to. Friends of the Pearl Harbor actor claim his wife is making it
"as difficult as possible for him to see Ireland." . |

vespaio?).
potranno entrare gratis all’anteprima milanese di “8 mile”,
PROPOSITO...BUON COMPLEANNO KIM!!!! |

Celebrities endorse letter asking U.S. president to stop war rhetoric toward Iraq
Mon Dec 9, 4:05 PM ET. LOS ANGELES - Mike Farrell and Anjelica Huston will release a letter Tuesday signed by a hundred celebrities who want President George W. Bush
to stop his war rhetoric toward Iraq. The letter reportedly is signed by stars including Kim Basinger, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jessica Lange and Martin Sheen, publicists for the event said Monday.
Details of the letter weren't released. Bush has threatened military force against Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein
, saying the dictator has amassed weapons of mass destruction that pose a danger to the United States.
United Nations (news - web sites) weapons inspectors are searching Iraq for such devices but have turned up little so far.
Farrell, who plays a veterinarian on the television drama "Providence," previously compiled a celebrity-endorsed letter in June asking U.S. senators to vote against a plan to bury the nation's nuclear power waste at Nevada's Yucca Mountain.
Co-signers of that letter included Alec Baldwin and Tim Robbins, Rob Reiner, Barbra Streisand and Harry
Belafonte. On July 9, senators voted 60-39 in favor of the Yucca Mountain project. |

YAHOO NEWS -
UPDATE 1-Hollywood performers oppose war with Iraq Wed Dec 11, 1:46 AM ET.
By Steve Gorman. HOLLYWOOD (Reuters) - Joining more than 100 celebrities on Tuesday in speaking out against a possible U.S. attack on Iraq, TV president Martin Sheen had some advice for America's real-life commander-in-chief: give peace a chance.
Sheen, who stars as President Bartlett on NBC's hit political drama "The West Wing
," did much of the talking at a Hollywood news conference to release an open letter from a new group called Artists United to Win Without War.
"I've always believed that war is a reflection of despair, and I refused to accept despair," said Sheen, one of more than 100 stars who signed the letter. "We are the daughters and sons of God, and that means we are called to be
peacemakers." The move came as anti-war protesters staged small demonstrations across United States criticizing American military posturing toward Iraq in coordinated marches, speeches and acts of civil disobedience.
Sheen, long active in the peace movement and various social cause, was perhaps the best known of about 30 celebrities who turned out for the news conference. Other signatories include actors Kim Basinger
, Laurence Fishburne , David Duchovny , Mia Farrow , Helen Hunt and such recording artists as David Matthews, Bonnie Raitt and Michael Stipe.
Sheen said he believed President Bush and his administration "made up their minds a long time ago that they're going to have this war."
Asked what he thought would motivate Bush to go to war if Iraq did not possess weapons of mass destruction, Sheen said, "I think he'd like to hand his father Saddam Hussein
's head and win his approval for what happened after the 1991 Gulf War
." The senior Bush during his tenure as president led the coalition that drove Saddam Hussein's forces out of Kuwait in the Gulf War -- but that war stopped short of removing Saddam from power.
Also signing the letter were retired Rear Adm. Eugene Carroll, former U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Edward Peck, and a handful of other military and diplomatic
experts. The group was co-founded by actor Mike Farrell, who starred in the CBS TV military satire "M*A*S*H."
SUPPORTS WEAPONS INSPECTIONS "We support rigorous U.N. weapons inspections to assure Iraq's effective disarmament," Farrell said, reading from the letter. "However, a preemptive military invasion of Iraq will ... increase human suffering, arouse animosity toward our country, increase the likelihood of terrorist attacks, damage the economy and undermine our moral standing in the world. It will make us less, not more,
secure." The letter, which Farrell said he hoped to get published in one or two major newspapers, came as peace activists around the country staged anti-war marches and rallies coinciding with International Human Rights Day.
Carroll, who once served as director of U.S. military operations for U.S. forces in Europe and the Middle East, accused Bush of exaggerating the menace posed by Iraq and putting the country on a war footing.
He warned that by gearing up U.S. forces for a possible Iraqi invasion, Bush ran the risk of making military conflict inevitable, even if Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein complies with U.N. demands to disarm.
"This has a life of its own, a momentum of its own," Carroll said. "For God's sake, let's take 'yes' for an answer and stand down from this march to war."
U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said on Tuesday Iraq's weapons declaration to the United Nations should not be prejudged, and it could take weeks to reach conclusions about the 12,000 pages of
documents. Iraq handed over the voluminous declaration on its nuclear, biological and chemical programs to the U.N. at the weekend, saying it proved that Baghdad had no prohibited weapons.
But U.S. officials say there is substantial evidence, including some not made public, that Iraq has retained and accelerated banned weapons programs. President Bush has vowed to lead an international coalition to disarm Iraq by force, if
necessary. |

dicembre - Carissimi frequentatori del KIM BASINGER FAN
SITE, pubblico assai volentieri alcuni pezzi arrivati via e-mail dal
grandioso "Lucio":
Se mi vuoi
far male
fermati e con i tuoi occhi
mi rimani a guardare
perché solo pieni di luce
che non mi da pace
mi illuminano i sogni di notte
e come un vino
riposano tranquilli
***
Kim
Basta
Ammirarti per
Sentire una
Infinita armonia che
Nel cuore ti
Gradifica e ti
Estende una forza
Robusta.
***
Kim
Bacia nell'
Anima del mio cuore per
Sentire un
Invito che
Nel mio spirito canta come un
Gallo all'arrivo di una
Eterna alba sempre
Raggiante
***
Sei venuta
su
come una pianta
a sfidare il blue
di questo cielo terzo
tu che hai labbra sottili
come fili d¹erba
fresca
vorrei che il tempo si fermi
all'estate
per potermi fermare
a guardare
il tuo sensuale
e magnifico
fisico
che mi fa
respirare come il mare
il tuo seno
é come un
colorato
arcobaleno
purezza del creato
miele che
lieve
scende nelle
mie vene
sei sola
dentro
un cuore
che ti ascolta
Cometa che illumini
la mia notte
fatta di mille stelle
ma una sola stella
colpisce il mio cuore
e a lei ho dato
il tuo nome.
Hai incendiato
il mio cuore
come per incanto
e per aver la tua luce
ti chiedo di rimanere
al mio fianco
sei cosi dolce
come un vino
che mi inebria
l¹anima
e lo spirito
con te
partire via
senza lasciare scia
scappare su una galassia
che solo io sappia.
Un saluto
pieno quanto puro
d¹affetto
per te donna
dal fatal aspetto.
Del puro e
solitario amore
si respira in un cuore
***
Se fossi
Dio
ti legerei ad ogni mio dito
e la tua sensualità
la farei
diventare una religione
per tuta l¹umanità
nel puro nome
di un grande amore.

dicembre - PEOPLE I KNOW verrà presentato in gennaio al
SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL. Da UPCOMINGMOVIES: "Miramax appears to
be going the same route with this film that they recently went with
another politically-controversial title, when they premiered The
Quiet American at Toronto in September. Reportedly, the warm
critical response there inspired them to go ahead with an
Oscar-friendly fall release. So now, the question is whether a
critically warm reception at Sundance (if it happens) would also
motivate Miramax to finally release this film as well...?". |

dicembre - L'ARENA: "Il rapper bianco domina
Morissette o Mariah Carey).
dominato: le vendite certificate di "The Eminem Show"
eclatanti.
modern rock bianco e dell'hip hop nero.
ottimi risultati dell'album "Hybrid Theory", pubblicato
Riuscita in

dicembre - U.S. Actor Penn Says
Iraq War Avoidable. BAGHDAD (Reuters) - If a U.S.-led war with Iraq
smears blood on his hands as an American citizen, Sean Penn wants to
know why -- and he has come to Baghdad to find out. "Absolutely
I think war can be avoided, but obviously it's going to take
enormous commitment on the part of the Iraqi government as well as
the United States," the actor-director told Reuters television
in an interview on Sunday. "I will certainly do what I can to
support that commitment to looking for other options," Penn
said. The former Hollywood bad boy and Oscar nominee paid for a
$56,000 advertisement in the Washington Post in October accusing
President Bush of stifling debate on Iraq.
He declined to renew his criticism of Bush on foreign soil, saying
he would reserve political comments for his return home. Bush has
threatened war to topple President Saddam Hussein if he fails to
abandon his alleged doomsday arsenal. Penn said it would "suit
us all" if Iraq fully disclosed any banned weapons it still
has, but questioned whether U.S. national security concerns about
this justified war. Asked if his three-day trip to Baghdad might
expose him to charges of lack of patriotism, Penn said he would be
happy to debate anyone who made such accusations. "I'm here for
a simple reason, which is because I'm a patriot and an American who
has benefited enormously from being an American, and because I had
areas of personal concern and conscience that led me to come to
Iraq. "I believe, however I vote and whatever my perspective,
that I do deserve the government I get," he said. "And if
there's going to be blood on my hands, I'm determined that it's not
going to be invisible. That blood is not just Iraqi blood, it's the
blood of American soldiers." SMILING IN ADVERSITY Penn's visit
was organized by the Institute of Public Accuracy, a U.S. group of
policy analysts. He has toured a Baghdad children's hospital,
wandered the streets without an Iraqi minder and had meetings with
Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Aziz and Health Minister Umeed Madhat
Mubarak -- who gave him a hard time for his smoking habit. Penn said
he had been touched by the warmth of ordinary Iraqis despite the
tension and suffering of their daily lives. "I do find it very
moving, you know, the strength of a smile in those circumstances,
and the smiles that I saw were abundant," he said. Penn's
advertisement in the Washington Post took the form of an open letter
in which he urged Bush to stop a cycle where "bombing is
answered by bombing, mutilation by mutilation, killing by
killing." "Sacrificing American soldiers or innocent
civilians in an unprecedented pre-emptive attack on a separate
sovereign nation may well prove itself a most temporary
medicine," he said. More than 100 other American celebrities,
including Hollywood stars Kim Basinger (news), David Duchovny (news)
and Mia Farrow, signed an open letter last week which said rigorous
United Nations (news - web sites) inspections were the best way to
disarm Iraq, not war. "HEIGHTENED DESPERATION" Asked to
explain his interest in Iraq, Penn said it was the "current
headline" for the Bush administration's war on terror.
"It's a war that is going to affect the generation of my
children," he said. "Because of the technology and the
heightened desperation of the world today, I think it's very
possible that we are facing the first century that will complete
itself without mankind -- and that's not the future that I want for
my children, or for their children," he declared. Penn said his
Iraq odyssey, by helping him to be aware of the times he lived in,
could play into his professional life. "Whatever story you have
to tell, you have to be aware of who you are telling it to and what
the benefit of it is, whether it's limited to amusement or a
political statement, because short of that it's simply what someone
does alone in a bathroom," the 42-year-old Californian said.
Did he hope to bridge the gap between American perceptions of Iraq
and the reality? "I have to start with bridging my own
gap," he replied. "Ultimately if I can do that in the way
you expressed, that would be something I'd be very proud of." |

dicembre -
Bush: " War talk in Washington is alarming and unnecessary.
We are patriotic Americans who share the belief that Saddam Hussein
cannot be allowed to possess weapons of mass destruction. We support
rigorous United Nations weapons inspections to assure Iraq’s
effective disarmament. However, a preemptive military invasion of
Iraq will harm American national interests. Such a war will increase
human suffering, arouse animosity toward our country, increase the
likelihood of terrorist attacks, damage the economy, and undermine
our moral standing in the world. It will make us less, not more,
secure. We reject the doctrine—a reversal of long-held American
tradition—that our country, alone, has the right to launch
first-strike attacks. The valid U.S. and U.N. objective of disarming
Saddam Hussein can be achieved through legal diplomatic means. There
is no need for war. Let us instead devote our resources to improving
the security and well-being of people here at home and around the
world. Signed, Artists United to Win Without War". |

dicembre - Baldwin Recommends
Ex-Wife Basinger. Alec Baldwin remains a huge fan of ex-wife Kim
Basinger's acting - despite their bitter bust-up. The Malice star,
whose eight-year marriage to the actress crumbled in 2001, has been
locked in a battle with his former spouse over his access to their
seven-year-old daughter Ireland. He has also been dogged with
reports of being an abusive husband to the 9 1/2 Weeks star during
their union. But when Baldwin was at the Los Angeles, California,
restaurant Katana last week, he showed that he still has an
appreciation for Basinger's work. While he was reading the movie
listings in the Los Angeles Times, a fellow diner struck up a
conversation with the 44-year old star, asking which film he
recommended. Baldwin swiftly replied, "I'd go to see 8 Mile. My
ex-wife's in it. It's really good." |
