BEYOND THE MARKET!

 

Most people do not think of it, but nowadays technology would allow us to get BEYOND THE MARKET!

Audio video machines, properly used by common people, help to know better themselves and the world around.

And the exchange of knowledge, ideas, experiences across the Internet is a real big occasion to turn our attitude from simply consuming to manage things, from struggling with other humans to cooperate with them. Many important inventions that have (potentially) changed our lives – such as personal computers and the Internet themselves! - are not in fact the product of the traditional industry and market.

 

THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN

 

Talking about the rights of children, or the digital divide etc., we are use to think of a world split in two parts: the rich and the poor one. In the poor world life is very hard, and 40.000 children die every day for starvation. But in the rich part too children do not grow and are not basically considered as people, but as consumers. They aren't happy, they do not learn to live life, but to buy it!

 

ANIMAZIONE

 

The animatore ìs a fulcrum, an expert about paths, goals, possible outcomes. He sets spurs and suggestions along the way but he do not knows exactly the final result. The group, with all its interactions, is the true protagonist. The animatore attends, understands, is present, answers, collects and, if necessary, puts things in order. Roles and knowledge are discussed and rebuilt continuously, and search and exploration never bring to the end.

 

After almost 30 years with thousands of people taking part in the experiences of animazione, I can say it is quite sure, having tested it well: children and young people (even adults when concerned) really enjoy, are very interested, cooperate and, in the end, fell fine. No stress and competition, no problems in paying attention, and easily excellent results in writing stories, playing theatre, making films, exploring nature, using the computers.

Like young babies learn to speak and to walk needing no teachers, the same way people during animazione do all things naturally, just having the occasion, while playing and amusing.

Too easy? Probably yes!
