DIPENDENTE
god's people at smas last week in smas (our sunday night service) we looked at james 3 and the whole issue involved in the taming of the tongue. it has been amazing to see how god has been working through that passage, and how he has been using various when people dress up in funny clothes i got called into the bishops office yesterday and we started talking and he handed me a letter: dear josh greetings! i write to confirm my intention, god willing, to ordain you as deacon at st saviour's cathedral. golbourn on st lets talk emergent part i alot of people have been wanting to meet up with me to talk about emergent and so on. over the next period i am going to be posting a series of papers/articles on the whole topic so rahter than jumping to conclusions and saying "aaahhh yay the women debate againcan you tell i am so excited once again the motion to allow women to be preisted has been put forward for the sydney anglican synod, after failing 3 times preciously, and people are getting all up in arms about it, and complaining that it is against the bible, st. benedict on speech and silence evil speech should be curbed so that the punishment for sin may be avoided. indeed, so important is silence that permission to speak should seldom be granted even to mature disciples, no matter how hood or holy or constructive their wonder ii the towering mountain range, the glory of a sunset, the vast ocean, the forests and fertile plains, all these can throw the mind into a mood of wonder. we look at the world of nature and ask: who could have made this world and guided the importance of not knowing exactly everything about god i have now been a christian for over 10 years; it has been an amazing walk for me as i look back on the ups and downs of that journey of faith, as i look at the high points of my faith and the low. surprisingly what i have come to understanding god's will last year kyle lake died tragically and at his funeral a section of his last sermon was read out. up until yesterday it seemed nice but it never really hit me. over the past couple of weeks i have been meeting up with christian leaders insights into christianity by emo phillips i was walking across a bridge one day, and i saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. so i ran over and said "stop! don't do it!" "why shouldn'ti?" he said. i said, "well, there's so much to live for!" he said, "like what? I am moving as of today I am saying goodbye to blogger and heading over to typepad. I have moved HERE
