Empty Spaces was our first album, a mixture of limited experience in using studio equipment, but also a great desire to complete this project. We started working in the studio of a our friend, Christian, who gave us the basics to get started. Then Andrea assembled the ‘Microstudio’. All it took was a few expanders, a keyboard and a mixer to get started. Later Andrea called a good friend, Giovanni ‘Alabamas’, to help us. He inserted some electric bass and electric guitar parts into the tracks. Flavio worked on the lyrics and sang them. We liked the final product, even though the album only consisted of five tracks. The album was finished in December 2000, at which time our first website was also opened, and was named after one of the tracks on it. A total of five songs including one instrumental. The message the record wants to give is an appeal to the next generations for a future of peace and hope. The lyrics are positive and incite us to strive to ensure that our world is not inevitably doomed to destruction, caused by the lobbies of the powerful with the sole purpose of enriching themselves to the detriment of the population.
