ISOSHADO AND UFO DVD FOR THE JAPANESE

As we had already mentioned, ISOSHADO has had a key role in the production of the first UFO DVD boxset for the Japanese market, which has been available on the market since June 2003, and as far as the second boxset, the production company Tohokushinsha has asked us permission to include in the DVDs some footage from our conventions and events, as already happened for the Italian DVDs.
A good accomplishment that, along with ISOSHADO's contribution to the UFO Daizen Book (whose availability on the market is now delayed from September to November 2003), once again aknowledges the high level of interest that the Japanese fans have in our activities.
To better clarify this statement, it has to be considered that in the years of the UFO "boom", from 1971 to 1974, the countries which tributed the highest success to the series and that promoted the widest range of gadgets and collectibles based upon UFO were first Japan, then England and then Italy!
This is a publicity appeared on issue n. 107 (July 2003) of the magazine "Uchusen"; besides using up to 5 images (out of 11) provided to Tohokushinsha by ISOSHADO, the editors have brilliantly chosen a pict of P.M. together with ISOSHADO President Ed Bishop!

We are proud to let you know that the 5th disk of the first boxset, deluxe edition, has been enriched with a hidden video from ISOSHADO conventions.

DVD UFO: Neverending news

We have just had the opportunity, on an exclusive basis, to check out the Italian UFO DVDs and we can assure you that we've been highly (positively) "shocked"! The extraordinary image quality, the richness in contents, the excellent graphics: we can no doubt say that this UFO DVD edition is for sure the best ever, so far... And we're very proud to have taken part actively in the project, both supplying the manufacturers with original materials which you will find in the DVDs (original studio models' pictures, merchandising items, behind the scenes photos, recent videos of UFO actors attending ISOSHADO events), and cooperating in the official première in Fiuggi, at the DEEPCON 4 event, where we've "escorted" our President ED BISHOP and our Vice President MICHAEL BILLINGTON during all DVD related events of the Con.
And talking about some extraordinay and unexpected features of the Italian DVDs... some videos of UFO actors attending ISOSHADO events have been included in the DVDs!!! Of course this a special "bonus" will reward only the most careful and attentive spectators!!! The hunt for the hidden videos is open!!! We had promised you many tasty news... here they are! First of all: Cult Video and DNC Entertainment have decided to offer UFO fans another extraordinary initiative: going digital with ALL 5 UFO MOVIES, which were produced in Italy through a sort of patchwork of episodes' scenes. This is a tiny (yet big) history milestone, because it was just thanks to those 5 motion pictures, which were put together by real movie wizards in Cinecittà-Rome, that UFO could leave a deep mark in the hearts of us real estimators. The movies led to a fertile merchandising items production, which went well beyond the Italian borders: just think about the Super 8 movies (both in English and German as well as Spanish), the photonovels, the videotapes that (for at least 10 years) were the only way to watch UFO at home.
So we will have UFO ALLARME ROSSO… ATTACCO ALLA TERRA!, UFO DISTRUGGETE BASE LUNA!, UFO… ANNIENTATE SHADO STOP. UCCIDETE STRAKER…, UFO CONTATTO RADAR STANNO ATTERRANDO, UFO PRENDETELI VIVI in DVD! To read about the birth of these movies production,, click on the right link: UFO from TV to Cinema.
And that’s NOT all folks!! The complete UFO TV series in Italian will be available in videotape soon! The first two tapes can be found at the video shops as of April 16, together with the first DVD set. This clever choice has been taken not to penalize all VCR users that are still outnumbering by far the DVD owners, offering them UFO with the Italian dubbing at a very affordable price.
The third, great, news is that the DVD producers are willing to complete the italian dubbing of the episodes that so far have not been aired by either RAI or the Swiss Television.
The three audio tracks of the Italian DVDs are indeed one of the relevant features of this edition. Moreover, the Kill Straker episode has an additiona Italina audio track, which has been “borrowed” from the UFO… Annientate SHADO Stop. Uccidete Straker… film.
But the Italian DVD producers want to go further! They will dub in Italian the remaining episodes: Confetti Check A-OK, Mindbender, Timelash, The Cat With Ten Lives, involving the original dubbers, when possible!
Finally, we can disclose the upcoming ISOSHADO website update on new and interesting initiatives concerning UFO, ISOSHADO members, two new comics and new models production, and more...
Unfortunately time is tight and the recent ISOSHADO involvement in the second Japanese UFO DVD set, as well al the new UFO DAIZEN BOOK, leaves us with very few spare time to offer you more!!
