August 2002, our holidays ...... memories of a journey through places you will most easily recognize ...... (Pinewood and Borehamwood Studios)
The new year (2002/2003) has begun and ISOSHADO is still the Italian fan club getting UFO fans in touch with actors and all the people who made this series.
Thanks to the valuable help of our president Ed Bishop and vice-president Michael Billington, here we are again to prepare new and exciting ventures for both our club members and fans in Italy and worldwide.
I take this opportunity to communicate officially that within the end of 2002 a new ISOSHADO convention is planned, and we will let you know the guests as soon as possible. For now, we can anticipate that we want to place an actor side by side with a technician, i.e., one of those special effects wizards who built those wonderful studio models we like so much and gave life to the episodes: Interceptors, Skydiver, MoonBase, UFOs etc.
After seeing three original studio models last year, at the Strake & Foster convention, attendees will personally meet someone who actually designed and built those models....... A not-to-be-missed opportunity for UFO fans !!!

FABULOUS ISOSHADO CONVENTION - 9 DECEMBER 2001!!!

Ed Bishop and Michael Billington have attended last 9 december in Milan at ISOSHADO new UFO convention. Convention site was "Pirelli Hall" located on ancient Palazzo delle Stelline.

UFO leaders have seen various series' episodes, discussing them with fans and answering to their questions. Ed & Mike were interviewed by newspaper and TV journalists, and appeared on Italian TV Rai3. 

Together with UFO main actors, at ISOSHADO convention we have had the opportunity to see Phil Rae's wonderful original UFO Studio Models: two Moonbase Interceptor and mytical Sky 1!!!! Phil Rae himself joined ISOSHADO convention.

Carlton have announced Gerry Anderson's "UFO" for release in March and May. March 18th sees a 4 DVD digipack edition priced at £49.99 along with volumes 1 and 2 stand alone priced at £15.99. May13th sees Volumes 3 and 4 stand alone also at £15.99. These four disks represent episodes 1-13 of the 26 episode series. 

Each of the DVD releases will include 3 or more UFO episodes along with a host of special original extra features that will appeal to fans of the cult series.

Some of the original special features include exclusive commentaries with Edward Bishop & Gerry Anderson, stills galleries, alternate opening sequence and deleted scenes gallery, main character profiles, Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organisation (SHADO) dossier part 1 & part 2, actor profiles, doppelganger illustrated text featurette, plus much more.

Carlton Video will release the remaining UFO series on other DVD titles later in the year.

INSIDE UFO STUDIOS... AT PINEWOOD!!!!

We have realized an extensive photographic reportage of the recent trip of Paolo Malaguti to England. Our "supervisor" has been invited for lunch by the legendary Sylvia Anderson at the Pinewood studios, and has taken the opportunity of a long tour

 

inside the studios, where he has visited the locations which have been used as the setting of several UFO episodes. It has been a fascinating journey to discover the places that any UFO fan has dreamt to visit at least once in his/her life.click here
