Today, 2nd October, Alina Kabaeva confirmed her All Around World Championships Title. Then followed: Raskina,Barsoukova,Serrano, Vitrichenko,Marchesi (out little italian champion...great!!). I am personally upset for the bad treatment reserved to Elena Vitrichenko. However, Alina and Elena remain great friends.It was great to see them crying together and supporting each others at the end of the competition :o)

The Van Essen Family was informed by Amina Zaripova of her effective retirement from RG. Now she's a teacher for little girls in Moscow.

Amina Zaripova is coming out of retirement to compete in the 1999 LA Lights Invitational on January 24-25th. Please check http://www.jps.net/lasg . Alina Kabeava won't be coming.

Did you know that Natalia Lipkovskaya is going to start working as compete's assistant on television after her retirement?

Did you know that Yana Batyrchina probably retired because she felt frustrated after the victories of her teammate Alina Kabaeva over her? And, in addition, she tought her coach didn't love her anymore.

25th September 1998:AMINA ZARIPOVA HAS RETIRED FROM RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS :o( and also Ekaterina Serebryanskaya.

15th Spetember 1998: Yana Batyrchina and Natalia Liposkaya have retired from rhythmic gymnastics

Did you know that E.Serebryanskaya and Amina Zaripova founded a modern-dance school and successfully began a career as theatre actresses last year? Their performances were great, but they ended up choosing rhythmic gymnastics, as they loved it too much :o)

After the European Championships in Porto, the new European Champion is Alina Kabaeva. Elena Vitrichenko wasn't in her best shape.

After the Italian National Championships in Fano, Torino and Arezzo, when she competed for "Flaminio Roma", Teodora Alexandrova moved in Rome where she had found harmony, peace, stability and love from her coaches and the people.

Tatjana Ogrizko had finished her sportive carrier, but she is fine. It was the right step I think because Belarus have a lot of younger gymnast with a great future. Natalya Lipkovskaya was hurt at the beginning of 1998, but then she competed during the National Championships of Fano
