OTHER NOTES |
U2's only non-album single in the
1990s was released as the first track from the Batman Forever
soundtrack. Originally approached to bring his MacPhisto
character to life on the silver screen for the movie, Bono
instead offered to contribute to the soundtrack. Hold Me Thrill
Me Kiss Me kill me was originally recorded during the Zooropa
sessions but never finished. The track was rescued for the
soundtrack and went on to be a charting hit for the band.
The song also became a popular live track on 1997's Popmart
Tour. A live version of the track recorded in Mexico in
1997 appeared on U2's fan club only live CD, Hasta
La Vista Baby. |
