THE NERDS ON DVD

As we told you, CANNIBAL MANIAC would have been a huge success, and this is what's happening: Lou and Annette just got back from the FRIGHT FEST in Georgia, USA where their short won two nominations. You can read an extract from the festival's website here:

CANNIBAL MANIAC AWARDED!!!
This bizarre and twisted film will be a big hit with the younger punkers out there. Great music by a hodge-podge of punk bands makes this dastardly film truly a rock horror experience.
QUOTE FROM THE FESTIVAL DIRECTOR
"Cannibal Maniac is a horror experience more disturbing than the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Great job!"

WINNER OF THE FESTIVAL DIRECTOR'S AWARD FOR MOST HORRIFYING SHORT FILM,
WINNER BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS

Allright, we are back from the usual summer hiatus with a lot of good news on the NERDS front. We managed to pull out so much we can't believe ourselves still, and new shit is also in the making.

THE NERDS NEW FULL LENGHT has been recorded in july and needs a label to be released. We are promoting it by ourselves, but if you own a label and love the band and you are interested, drop us a line and we'll forward you a CD-R asap.

LORDS OF DREGS AND CRAP- SIX YEARS OF DESTRUCTO ROCK INFERNO

LAJA RECORDS in Brazil is about to release this monster collection CD in the next months. It has 24 songs on it, mainly taken from the seven inches we did until last year, plus unreleased originals and covers including a live version of ANTiSEEN "Animals...eat'em" featuring JEFF CLAYTON on vocal duty. This is a great record to have out celebrating our first six years of existence and hopefully a useful item for all of you who couldn't manage to track down the singles when they first came out.

MAYHEM WITHOUT MERCY - A HARDCORE PUNK ROCK TRIBUTE TO VENOM

MADSKULL RECORDS outta Amsterdam, Holland is going to release a tribute CD to one of the only metal bands that really matter... VENOM!!! THE NERDS are on it with a rendition of the classic demento-satanic tune "1000 Days in Sodom". Other bands featured are LIMECELL, HAMMERLOCK, STOOL SAMPLE, BLOODY SODS, HOUSE OF DESTRUCTO and many more. Stay tuned for release date and more info about how to purchase this killer compilation.

HAMMERCOCKS - THE NERDS split 7" EP

Still available and kickin', here you have another one in the serie of split records we released with some of the best bands in the world. HAMMERCOCKS are pals from Texas who rip hard and raw on their guitars... 2 amazing songs each band, great full-colour artwork, heavy vinyl and everything else you can expect from a real collector's item brought to you by the finest label in Switzerland, ZURICH CHAINSAW MASSACRE.

CANNIBAL MANIAC

The horror movie we contributed music to is finally out and kicks serious ass!! It's one of the most funny combinations between gore and hardcore punk music I ever saw... our songs "Beat Me" and "Haunted Nuclear Farm" are part of the soundtrack along with songs by PUFFBALL, COMPLETE BASTARDS, NEW MAXIMUM DONKEY, THE STRAP-ONS and more. You can purchase your NTSC copy through Warped Reality Pictures website, if you need a PAL version just mail us.

THE NERDS new 7" ep "THE PUPPET SHOW" will be out soon on NO RISK NO FUN Records outta Germany. Actual release date is still unknown, we are still working on the project.

Probably next year we'll have another 7" out in Germany, this time for P TRASH Records
