Valcava Pass Communication Tower
This is my first atempt in making a 3D model with Blender !!!
The tower is more then 130 m high, and it is located at the Valcava Pass (1360 m) on the Orobic Prealps (Lombardia, Northern Italy).
There are some 5 or 6 communication tower at this Pass ... with time I'll model all of them.

This is another of the 5 or 6 towers located at the Passo di Valcava (1360 m) on the Orobic PreAlps.
It measures some 110 m
I am now a little bit smarter ... and the tower has now red obstruction lights, turning on at evening :)

NATO Troposcatter Station "Dosso dei Galli"
The model depicts the NATO Troposcatter ACE High Station located at the "Dosso dei Galli" (2172 m) close to the "Passo di Maniva" and "Passo di Crocedomini" in Lombardy, Norther Italy.
A similar station, now dismantled, was located close to the "Feldberg Pass" in the Schwarzwald (Germany); the two station were diecly connected, crossing over the whole Switzerland.

I derived this Tanker Ship from the 3D model of the Container Ship already available in the original download of FlightGear.

This Heavy Fuel Oil fired Power Plant has been built according to the early '70ies ENEL design: I spent all my working life in Power Plant businnes, so I couldn't have missed a 3D model of a Power Plant !!!
In addition, this Plant with its 220m high stacks it is a very useful landmark on the route to LIRJ Marina di Campo (Isola d'Elba) Airport: when you see it, it's time to head east !!!

I found them on Flight Gear Models Repository ... then just changed the .xml files to reflect the hight of the poles (25 - 50 -100 -200 m) ....
Then painted with red & white the top girders and made new files for the painted ones.

"a2a" Cobined Cycle Power Plant 1000 MW - Cassano d'Adda (Lombardy, Northern Italy)
The original Power Plant consisted in two oil fired Units (Unit 1 of 75MW,dating back to early 60'ies and Unit 2 of 320MW of mid 70'ies).
In 2001 entered into service the first turbogas (155MW) feeding steam to the preexisting Unit 1 steam turbine (75MW).The flue gas from the gasturbine flow through the Heat Revery Steam Generator (HRSG) connected to the small stack.
In 2003 entered in service the second turbogas (250MW) feeding steam to the preexisting Unit 2 steam turbine (320MW), followed few years later by a second 250MW turbogas, also feeding steam to Unit 2 steam turbine.
The fluegas from the turbogas flow through 2 twin HRSG, connected to the preexisting 220 m high stack.

The castle rest on top of a very steep rock cliff, and it's visible from far away ... in addition is very close to Tavullia, where Valentino Rossi is born .... and where my son and my granddaughter live !!!!

Castel Piagnaro is located in Pontremoli, in the Lunigiana, the northrnmost valley of Tuscany, connected through the Cisa Pass to the Po River Plains, an important interconnecting road existing since the Lower Middle Age. In the Castle is located a museum exhibiting strange statues dating back to the Bronze Age.

The airport is located in the municipality of Orio al Serio, few km's from Bergamo and some 40 km's from Milano: it has seen its touristic and commercial traffic steadly growing year after year.
