Brandon Flowers has admitted he is flattered
by Robbie Williams' Live 8 tribute to the band. Unfortunately the band only got
to play one song - the anthemic All These Things That I've Done - but fans were
treated to a reprise from the mouth of Robbie Williams.
During his set, Robbie intertwined the song's lyrics "I've got soul but I'm not
a soldier" into his own.
Flowers told NME.com: “I heard about that, but I didn’t get to hear it. I’m glad
he liked it. I didn’t know it was going to happen, I’ve never met him, but it
was cool – it’s nice of him.”

Lee Ryan is a fan of Robbie Williams's buff
looks as well as his music, he has revealed. Speaking as guest on last night's
TRL, the Blue heartthrob turned solo artist, whose new single 'Army Of Lovers'
was released on Monday, responded to Robbie's reported comments about Lee being
someone that he'd sleep with if he were gay. "I'm not sure he really said that,"
said Lee, "I thought he said that I look like one of those guys that you find in
the back of gay magazines. I don't know what's worse!"
"No, I'm quite comfortable with my sexuality thank you very much, and it was a
great compliment I suppose."
At this point TRL's Dave Berry jumped in saying: "I think Robbie's fit! That s
how comfortable I am." To which Lee responded, "Robbie's gorgeous!" And then
they made love. For more celebrity man love, tune-in to TRL every weekday at 6pm
on MTV. Oh and Lee Ryan and Dave Berry didn't really make love. Not during the
show anyway...

Robbie Williams may be used to fighting women
off with a stick, but it looks like he's got his work cut out with Fearne Cotton.
Despite flirting with the Top of The Pops host backstage at Live 8, it seems
Fearne's still playing hard to get.
The singer's apparently asked her out for a romantic meal in Paris. And while
Fearne's said yes, she insists it is just platonic. "I was really flattered by
Robbie. He's great and I always look forward to interviewing him when he's in
the UK."
We've got similar personalities and get on really well as mates. "I'm always
happy to be linked with Robbie, he's a dish. But there's no romance, I'm afraid."

British pop star Robbie Williams is set to
play two concerts at Croke Park in Dublin next June, The Sunday Business Post
can reveal. The singer's management team and Croke Park officials have had talks
in recent months and negotiations are now at an advanced stage. It is understood
the two sides expect to sign formal contracts over the coming weeks.
“The deal is as good as done,” said one source close to the talks. This
newspaper has also learned that the GAA has been in touch with representatives
of the American rock band, Bon Jovi, about a separate concert. However, those
talks are at an early stage and no concrete details have been agreed.
There is also speculation that The Rolling Stones, the legendary British rock
group, are keen to play at Croke Park. The band's manager attended one of the
three U2 concerts at Croke Park last weekend and told stadium officials that he
was impressed with the facility. “There has been a lot of talk, but the only
name really confirmed is Robbie Williams,” said the source.
Dates for the concerts have yet to be set, although it is likely they will take
place over a weekend in the middle of June. Williams previously played to more
than 135,000 people in Dublin's Phoenix Park in August 2003. He also performed
at Slane Castle in 1999. It is understood that the GAA is keen to capitalise on
the success of last weekend's three U2 concerts. The gigs were attended by
240,000 people and earned the GAA more than €2.1
million in rent.
The GAA intends to increase the number of non-sporting events that take place in
Croke Park. Although it has an agreement with local residents on the use of the
stadium, the association retains the right to hold up to four concerts in Croke
Park each year.
The money will help the GAA's efforts to pay off the debt from the redevelopment
of the stadium. It owes € 36 million, which
it expects to clear over the next six years.

Step forward Robbie Williams... the Live 8
entertainer. He was hardly the biggest name or musical legend on the menu... but
somehow Robbie Williams rocked the Live 8 concert in London way more than anyone
else.He was introduced by another crowd-pleaser, in the form of David Beckham,
who welcomed him on stage as one of his great friends. He did however concede
that the next performer was "a bit shy" - to which everyone chortled. But once
Robbie was on stage, any nerves he had disappeared as he settled in to getting
the crowd going. He started off by singing a rendition of Queen's We Will Rock
You, before performing three of his own classics - Let Me Entertain You, Feel
and Angels Old Robster was clearly on form, enticing the crowd to bounce, sing
and cheer.
Before his set, he'd been backstage chatting up TV presenter Fearne Cotton as
she interviewed him live. "I'm single, and I hear you're recently single... so
why don't we get it on? he asked - whilst indulging in a spot of hip-thrusting.
She didn't say no...
