PAOLO FRATTARI
was born in Cerveteri -Italy- the 21st of february 1963 and still resides
there. He completed his studies in Rome but he evolved his natural
propensity to wood carving within the cultural environment of ancient
Etruscan lands. It is during his teens that he felt the peremptory need
to express himself through wood carving and sculpturing.In those years,
while attending a variety of art clubs and work shops, he completed
a course of wood carving offered by the Province of Rome Department of
Culture.Those were moments of great dynamism, he travelled alot throughout
Italy and abroad, wich deeply influenced him to blend the various experiences
and cosmopolitan realities to his own roots.With this spirit of yearning
for knowledge he made his first steps inside the sculpting field and within
the art galleries where he is continually held in repute. He currently
teaches at the UPTER university of Rome
