Questo disco, bello e fondamentale, è un autentico inno alla pregnanza espressiva ed al più alto virtuosismo nella Musica Sacra così come ci appare in Italia nel particolare periodo storico fra la fine del secolo XVI ed i primi decenni del XVII.
Questa registrazione offre una visione nuova della realtà artistica e storica dell’arte musicale e vocale italiana in ambito religioso, un’arte che ben rispecchia la produzione coeva sia in campo letterario che nelle arti figurative, caratterizzata da una particolare sensualità nell’ambito del “sacro”.
