THE MANUSCRIPT OF IVREA J.IV.104

The J.IV.104 has a very particular meaning. The music of J.IV.104 is noted on four lines grossly traced with black ink and that presents at times four, at other times five lines.

It seems that J.IV.104 was produced in Ivrea at the beginning of the XV century, but evidence isn't sufficient.

However, the fragment, with the other two codes, J.IV.71 and J.IV.105, can provide a new key of interpretation of the story of

music in Piedmont and in general in North-east Italy during the late Middle Ages.
