Noel: "German tour to be rescheduled"

Noel Gallagher has just confirmed on the Chris Moyles show on BBC Radio 1 that the German Tour will go be rescheduled in the New Year.

This is great news for the German fans who missed out because of the 'Liams Teeth' incident.

Also on the show Noel said the Songbird single (out Feb 3rd) is the first CD to be black on both sides. They played Noels version of Merry Christmas. He spoke about Man City & how he thinks they will finish around 12th place, they have done well but are an unlucky team! He also mentioned that he doesn’t think Liam has got him anything for Christmas but wanted to assure everyone that he got Liam nothing aswell! Anais apparently loves the Hamsters they got a few years ago & he's also teaching her to cook! The lion that they gave him last year which sings 'the lion sleeps tonight' is actually sleeping cos the batteries died. This year Noel received a James Brown doll, he thinks this is quite scary looking & it reminded him of Whitney Houston! He plans on putting it in his toilet so that every time he goes it will sing “I feel good!”

Liam's new teeth and Noel about him

"News of the world":

OASIS star Liam Gallagher flashed a goofy smile yesterday...his first since he had two new front teeth to replace the ones knocked out in a bar-room brawl.
The 30-year-old star was pictured by our photographers while he was out filming a new video in London yesterday.
And as he tried to stop his new gnashers chattering in freezing temperatures, his fed-up brother Noel spoke for the first time about the fight.
"All I'm bothered about is that he can still sing," he said. Speaking exclusively to the News of the World, 32-year-old Noel added: "Liam's got his teeth back for Christmas and we're back in business."

As Liam underwent emergency dental surgery, Noel had to cancel the final leg of their European tour. But Oasis are back fit to start their eight-date British tour tonight in Cardiff.
But there is still little love lost between the brothers.
"My concern is for his voice," added Noel. "But I haven't spoken to him directly. Why should we talk after what's gone on? Since I've been back I've been looking after my daughter.
"I really don't know what we're going to do about his drinking and behaviour—we've been here before but I really don't want to be here again, if you take my meaning.
"At least the tour is back on and I'm glad because I don't want to let down any of our supporters."

UK tour definitely ON

After extensive dental work in London over the past two days an Oasis spokesperson has confirmed that Liam's broken teeth have been successfully replaced and he is able to sing without problem.

The Oasis UK tour will therefore be going ahead as planned starting this Sunday the 8th December at the Cardiff CIA.

Dentist says Liam will sing again

LIAM Gallagher’s dentist has assured fans that the Oasis frontman "will sing again", despite horrific mouth injuries attained in a brawl in Munich last weekend.

Liam flew back into the UK on Tuesday, December 3 after cancelling the rest of Oasis’ German tour, to have dental repair work done after losing his front two teeth in the nightclub fracas. Liam visited dentist-to-the-stars, Dr Philip Stemmer in London yesterday, accompanied by fiancée Nicole Appleton and three hefty bouncers for the treatment, which will reportedly cost him £20,000.

After two and half hours lying back and saying "Arrrr," Liam left the surgery with his gob firmly shut, opting not to comment on the Munich incident and his resulting injuries to the assembled mob of journalists.

Dr Stemmer, however, did comment briefly on his rock 'n' roll star patient. "He’s fine," said the A-list dentist. "I see no reason why he should not be able to sing again soon. But I cannot discuss his treatment. It would be unethical of me to do so." It is believed Liam will have crowns and porcelain veneers fitted to cover up his broken chompers. The injuries, it has also been suggested, may leave the Oasis frontman with a lisp.

"What I can add though," said Dr Stemmer, "is that it was not an abnormal amount of time in the chair." Liam is expected to prove the dentist right on Sunday, December 8 when he performs with Oasis in Cardiff as scheduled.

Following the Munich incident, Oasis’ management have beefed up Liam’s security. "We are worried he will now be seen as a bit of a target to any old chancer after a scrap," said a spokesperson. "For the time being we are going to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t get jumped and it means calling in a couple of the lads who we’ve used in the past. Liam is slightly jumpy after what’s happened, which is understandable."

On a much more positive note, Liam is a strong contender for the Christmas No 1 spot, despite his incomplete set of gnashers. 'Scorpio Rising', Liam's collaboration with Death In Vegas, has been made one of bookmakers' favourites for the festive top spot. Betting giant William Hill have placed the track higher than the festive efforts from the likes of Blue and The Cheeky Girls.

Report from Munich

"THE SUN"

Liam Gallagher Kung-Fu kicked a cop during the hotel brawl in which he lost his two front teeth, it was revealed yesterday.

An Oasis minder was knocked out cold. And drunk Liam, 30, was smashed in the face with a heavy object.
But he was so out of control that he continued fighting with blood pouring from his mouth.

Twenty cops stormed into Munich’s plush Bayerischer Hof hotel as the battle spilled out from its nightclub into the reception area.
Liam was arrested after he kicked an armed policeman in the ribs “with full force”.
He was handcuffed and bundled into a police van, screaming and cursing.
He was charged with assault, attacking an officer, resisting arrest, damaging property and trespass. Police sources in Munich said he could face a fine of up to £300,000.
Four other members of the Oasis party — two backing musicians and two security men — were also held.
The five were kept in custody at a police station near the hotel for 13 hours. Their fingerprints and photos were taken before they were freed on bail totalling £180,000.

Liam spent most of yesterday in a dentist’s chair undergoing emergency work on his broken teeth.

Oasis cancelled a gig in Munich after the fracas, which erupted at 2am on Sunday.
Last night’s concert in Hamburg was also called off. And doubt was thrown over shows scheduled for later this week in Dusseldorf and Bremen.

Liam’s brother Noel, 32, was not present at the fight, reported in later editions of yesterday’s Sun.
Oasis drummer Alan White was there — and had a brain scan in hospital afterwards. But he was not among those arrested.
One of the held musicians, named as Philip Bevan-Smith, also needed a brain scan. And KO’d minder Robert Nash was still receiving treatment last night.

The Oasis party started fighting among themselves as a soul band played in the £900-a-night hotel’s nightclub, which shares an entrance with a restaurant called Trader Vic’s.

And all hell broke loose as one of the group was shoved into a table being used by five Italians — thought to be gangsters involved in trafficking prostitutes from Eastern Europe.
Glasses and chairs went flying as the two parties took each other on. And the soul band and clubbers fled.

Computer salesman Reinhard Moeller, 42, who was drinking with clients, said: “I heard a lot of English swear words then recognised Liam Gallagher among a group of young men. He was being very obnoxious and seemed to be pointing his finger at someone. One of the group fell into the table next to them. The place instantly went wild with tables, chairs, glasses and furniture flying everywhere. I ran for my life — it was terrifying.”

A 31-year-old witness named Joerg said: “Chairs were flying everywhere and I saw Liam Gallagher with his two front teeth gone. His face was broken.”

Police last night named the other arrested musician as Steven Allen.

Spokesman Damian Kania said blood tests had shown the Oasis party were all extremely drunk.
He added: “Gallagher suffered serious injuries to his mouth and would certainly have required extensive dental treatment.
“All the Italians fled but we are trying to trace them. It is not clear if any of them were injured but the British people clearly came off worst.”

Liam’s police mugshot was being circulated among cops yesterday. His shattered teeth were not visible but his mouth was badly gashed. Another police spokesman said: “The boy didn’t look good.”

Michael Blumer, promoter of the Munich gig, wrote off the cancelled concert as “typical Oasis”.
He said: “The band will make amends in January. I hope Liam will be back with new teeth.”

Official response to German attack

OASIS have been forced to cancel a gig in Munich tonight (Sunday, December 1) following an attack on frontman LIAM GALLAGHER.
The Oasis singer suffered facial injuries and several broken teeth after he and his entourage were the victims of an "unprovoked attack" by a gang of youths in Munich late last night (Saturday, December 2).
Drummer Alan White was the only other band member involved in the brawl and he escaped without injury.
Two of the band's security men, who were with the Oasis pair, both needed hospital treatment. One of the security men, who has not been named, is still in hospital under observation after he was knocked unconscious in the attack.
The German youths fled before police arrived.
Liam Gallagher and his entourage were arrested and taken to the police station where they were questioned about the incident, before being released without charge. Liam Gallagher is believed to receiving emergency dental treatment and the band have cancelled tonight's sold-out gig at Munich Zenith.
Oasis' spokeswoman issued this statement: "Some members of Oasis and their entourage were the victims of an unprovoked attack by a group of youths in a Munich club last night. Liam Gallagher sustained facial injuries, including several broken teeth, while two of the group's security guards were forced to seek hospital treatment, one after being knocked unconscious.
"The attackers left the scene before police arrived. The police took several of the Oasis group, including Liam Gallagher, to the local station for questioning in relation to the incident. All those arrested were later released without charge."

Due to Liam's injuries the concerts in Munich (yesterday) and at Hamburg's Color-Line Arena (tonight) have had to be postponed.

Oasis win at TOTP awards

OASIS have been awarded the 'Top Rock' accolade at the Top of the Pops awards.
The band beat off competition from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback and Puddle of Mudd to take the 'gong'.
After puzzlingly being mostly overlooked at other recent award ceremonies, the award rounds off what has been a resurgent year for the band.
The event, held at the Manchester Arena in front of a 10,000 strong crowd, was not attended by the band, but a pre-recorded acceptance video was played.

McCarrol's legal action thrown out of court

A founding member of British rock group Oasis has lost his bid to sue the band's lawyers over his firing because he took too long to start legal action.
London's High Court threw out the claim by drummer Anthony McCarroll that solicitors Statham Gill Davies had negligently handled Oasis's 1993 recording agreement with Sony, allowing the band to get rid of him instantly without compensation.
The judge, Justice Gray, awarding summary judgment to the solicitors without the need for a full trial, said McCarroll had failed to bring his claim within the legal limit of six years from the date his cause of action arose.
McCarroll helped form Oasis with schoolmates Liam Gallagher, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs and Paul McGuigan.
Gallagher's brother Noel joined later to form a bad-boy sibling double act which helped project the band to the forefront of the British rock scene and the front pages of newspapers.
McCarroll was part of the band when their debut album "Definitely Maybe" reached No. 1 in the UK charts in 1994, but had left by the time of their second and biggest hit album "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" in 1995.

The judge said McCarroll had intended to claim that Statham had acted negligently and "failed to point out that the effect of the Sony agreement was that the name Oasis was owned by the Gallagher brothers and left him vulnerable to instant dismissal without compensation."
"My conclusion is that the claimant did suffer relevant and measurable damage at the date when the Sony agreement was executed. It follows that the cause of action accrued more than six years before these proceedings were issued," he said.
The judge said Statham repudiated the suggestion of negligence and added that McCarroll had previously won a "modest lump sum" from the four other band members over royalties from songs made before he was ejected from the group.
