Henri Kappers founded in 1950 the company Kappers Maquettes, in 2004 known as the Kappers Maquette Ateliers. From 1950 on the company has been very successfull in the production of maquettes. The enormous construction activities after the Second World War to rebuild the ruined city of Rotterdam gave Henri Kappers a large number of orders for very different kinds of maquettes, to make architecture and city development plans more visual. Many leading architects and project developers found and still find their way to Kappers. So Kappers Maquette Ateliers has become the largest and most leading company in its branche in Europe.
