My
station is all but a top notch contest station still, within its
limits,
it prized me with outstanding performances and final results. The key
factor of any contest station is the fact that they are never final.
You can find little improvements to apply in any single aspect of the
shack. From the logging interface to the height of the antenna. I
always tried to work hard in deploying little modifications and
improvements on the layout as well as the equipment of my beloved
station.
Little by little the station shaped to its most competitive form. Every week and spare time I have I try to think about further improvements or rearrangements for a given competition. Rewiring, new antennas for a given contest weekend and new interfaces keeps me busy trying to scavenge out the best tactics and categories for the upcoming contests.
For daily logging I use either BBLogger (Windows) or CQRLog (Linux)
while for contesting I use mainly N1MM .
The antenna system changes quite a lot with various experimental
wire antennas.
