With console we mean any electronic device conceived mainly for a videogame use. Nowadays consoles very common in spite of very high prices. These devices have followed the computer development. With can find different types of consoles, home or portables, that offer enterteinment service for all the types; many of them also allow the use of other kinds of software. From 1972 till now have been seven generation; the latest consoles (and future ones) are eight generation; lately in the year were used different physics supports (cartridge, disk, ecc) and recently also in digital delivery. All the latest consoles can link to the internet for online gaming or for updates. Japan is the biggest exponent in the videogames sector, infact nearly all consoles or games are developed there.
