1 - Come down from the Valico of the Crocetta to Rapallo

Updating: 3/2000
Trail description.
From the Pass of the Crocetta we take the narrow road that climbs in direction west (trail sign FIE: three red little balls); another path climbs to the right toward the shelter Margherita.
The path immediately starts going down and continues sunny cutting the southern slopes of the m. Pegge. With some up-and-down we continue to a last slope that leads to cross a Pass.
We neglect the paths that climb to the right and to the left and we go down straight on. We coast along a ruin continuing to half slope among the chestnut trees (trail sign FIE: red crossed disk).
get over a shoulder we clearly begin to go down. It follows some steep tract, at times with rocky ground or with steps, as far as to arrive to an asphalt road (houses).
We go to the left and the road becomes a mule-track that goes down with tracts to stairs. In this tract the asphalt road races next for which is possible to reach it.
Near a farmhouse we turn to the left clearly and we finish the descent to a church. We follow the asphalt road to the left; it becomes mule-track in the middle of the houses and it goes down up to reach the big houses of Rapallo.

On saddle: 90%

2 - Come down from the Sanctuary of Montallegro to Rapallo

Updating: 1/2002
Description.
From the square of the Sanctuary we go down the stairway, we get over the avenue and we go down a small staircase reaching the square where the station of arrival of the cable-way and of the buses is situated.
We go down a staircase beside the building of the cable-way continuing on the narrow road that goes down partially chiseled (trail sign FIE: two red crosses ). Then the descent becomes less steep and we proceeds on wide mule-track excellently paved.
To the right the road goes down till Rapallo. We turn to the left going down for few meters and then we turn to the right and we take the mule-track.
We reach a small church in whose near it goes down the asphalt road (km 3,3).
We continue straight on the narrow road that begins to go down. To the term of the descent the mule-track goes to the right, by now in the houses of Rapallo and leads to a stairway.
We go down on the wide stairs, we cross the road and we continue on another staircase. At the end we turn to the right and we go out in the center of Rapallo, near the castle.
Gradient: 600 ms
On saddle: 100%
Observations: very beautiful descent.
Varying 3.1 :
to use in slope.
Coming from the station, few first to reach the castle on the sea, turns to the left at the street S.Francesco in Assisi (hotel Europe on the angle, trail sign FIE: two red crosses). We turn to the right immediately in the street Don Minzoni and we always climb on asphalt, neglecting the trail signs.
We rise away always Don Minzoni following, we turn to the left then in street Campodonico. We follow this street up to the point in which it becomes level (km 3); we turn to the right here at the street Soto la Liggia. After 500 meters we arrive to a house where we find the mule-track. We turn to the left and we begin the hard slope.
The mule-track in slope is extremely binding for the ground few flowing. Quite a lot tracts force to go down of saddle.
