F. G. URBON
Manhattan
9/11

THOUGH I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE USA GOVERNMENT IS CAPABLE TO PLAN A NEW PEARL HARBOUR IN ORDER TO JUSTIFY SUCCESSIVE STRATEGIC ACTIONS IN THE INTEREST OF THE FEW, I AVOID TO LET MYSELF TO SPECULATIONS ON THE HYPOTHESIS OF THE SELF-ATTACK AND BUSH'S ADMINISTRATION PLOT AGAINST AMERICANS AND THE WORLD. SUCH SPECULATIONS WOULD BE MADE EXTREMELY EASY BY THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PENTAGON IMPACT, TOO LIKE A MISSILE IMPACT, AND BY THOSE OF THE TOWERS CRASHDOWN, TOO LIKE A DEMOLITION FROM THE INSIDE, FIRSTLY EVIDENT IN THE OFFICIAL IMAGES RATHER THAN IN THE ANTIREGIME MOVIES. WHAT I'M PRESSED TO UNDERLINE HERE IS THE TWISTED LINE OF THOUGHT OF A CERTAIN JOURNALISM AND THE THREAT REPRESENTED BY IT.
The thought of the destruction of the twin towers, of what who was in there must have felt and of the implications of this for the entire world, makes it difficult for me to understand how one could go on granting so much attention to the hysterical chattering of Oriana Fallaci, now in love with the "western" capitalistic model, tomorrow god knows with what else.
Right after 9/11 one could think that the avalanche of partisan irrationality lavished by this person had to be reaction to the drama; but today it is clear that it has been and still is an expression of lowest profile.
What person, seriously involved in the twin towers landslide, would have felt the need to give to the press rivers of pseudo-patriotic wormonger nonsense rather than gathering himself in the hush that the enormity of this tragedy claimed and there get a more complete conscience of the responsibilities?
As it becomes more and more evident to any Euro-American, African-American, Chinese-American ... and to the few natives left in the 2 Americas that "We The People" and the statue of Liberty are just myths, so it is clear that the journalism is becoming less and less profession and more and more an appendix of the cabinets of Power.
Oriana Fallaci is not the only example of this kind of degradation; down the scale we find that beautiful example of intellectual “onanism” named Giuliano Ferrara, the hyperactive tongue (in every sense) of Bruno Vespa and at the very bottom those like Emilio Fede, to whom even the intellectual “onanism” is an utopy (as a matter of fact not even the hyperactive tongue because his one is rather a knot, due to what happens - or does not happen - in his brain .. er, hmm .. does he have a brain?!).

I have read, even if with much delay, what has been written by mrs. Oriana Fallaci the days after 9/11.
This woman judges first Palestinian men, women and children, which seem to have happily yelled “Victory, Victory!!” upon the Twin Towers landslide and that therefore could never be defined human beings.
With this the lady might have meant to state that those beings are less than animals, beasts in other words.
If it is so she may indeed be right; but the lady has neglected to consider what made them like they are now, for human beings may be born animals most of the times, but no beast … but perhaps yes at mrs. Fallaci’s home!
After two pages of rhetoris on events that instead would have to push us all to hush and meditation, never to "logorroic" showoffs or worse to liturgies, the lady goes on and judges the so called “kamikaze”, claiming that they would be neither heroes nor soldiers.
That they are no heroes is obvious; these "kamikaze" are war-machines not people who die for a impulsive action.
However, that they be no soldiers but “conceited seekers of glory, waxed mustaches, licked small beard and flirtatious sideburns”, as milady defines them after some thirty lines of hysterical escalation, is evidently a totally subjective appraisal, again neglecting the causality principle and fading to disappearing before the importance and seriousness of the facts that we had to watch (such enormous seriousness would grant her much more than a scream of Mr. Arafat had he wanted to endure an other headache accepting to be in her presence in addition to the headache causes he already has to face either in Israel or in Palestine).
In fact, her “pasionaire” eyes do not seem to offer any consideration to the fact that her adored cradle of every civilization and well-being and justice, that her social paradise in the end, after evicting the Hebrew from their land nearly 2000 years ago, gave it back to him about 60 years ago only in virtue of economic advantages, evicting the Arabs this time and thus creating a “casus-belli” that has been going on for almost 60 years now!
Milady is so proud of its Euro-American Matrix (to say “western” is mistaken as much as it is the point of view of those who say it) that to her is irrelevant that Terrorism, like extreme issue of defense of overwhelmed people, is de-facto legitimated as a war instrument in first place by the Matrix that she considers just (had not the Sioux been so foolishly brave, less redskin would have been required to eliminate a fundamentalist social climber like G. Custer).
In other words, the point is not if TERRORISM is right, because it is made right!!!
The point is if "this type of TERRORISM" is right or not; if it is right that Aldo Moro has been executed while the bandits that have massacred Italy still live to this day, if it is right that thousands of common people have died in the Towers while people like G. W. Bush and his sponsors and servants continue living and to make damage!
Matterly of fact, O. Fallaci counts only what in this System fits into her feelings, forgetting that the World does not spin around herself or her "feelings".
In this world there is also someone else, who feels on his skin the total cost required by the System, in terms of military and religious aggressions, of ideological violences, genocides, coups d'état, connections and agreements with those who at words this System should be fighting but practically it is not, aiming to the conquest, the management and the maintenance of political, economic, religious and military power on every and all things, beginning with the control of the resources that serve to manufacture an infinite series of things, mostly useful to Oriana Fallaci and some other, but objectively totally useless and often harmful.
As a matter of fact this is the innocent and vulnerable little object that milady calls America, better called USA, former European colony, social and political reality with less than 200 years of History, which has betrayed the ideals of the French Revolution to pay homage to the worst “mercantilism”, if there is such a word, exterminating million of Aborigines and true Americans, believers in the Great Spirit long before Abraham.
Sure USA are vulnerable!
They are like Rome in the fourth century after Christ, like colonist Europe and like any mint too grown but not yet tired to grow.
Nonetheless I would not put the hand in the fire, like milady does, about FBI and CIA being so stupid.
In lack of a more suitable thesis, don’t we want to at least consider the hypothesis, verified even in simplest information systems, that the more a system grows and is tech-dependent the many are its weaknesses? The true foolishness, my dear lady, lays in reaching that point.
Non-manageability and other "more suitable theses" are only one mere consequences.
Therefore, a kick in the ass should be given to plump children like Bush and to those who pay for their political campaigns, not to Intelligence men, who, at least until twenty years ago, have carried out a distinguished work fomenting revolutions, selecting gun&drug smugglers to make military and polical leaders out of them in every corner of the world, to help the construction of the most illeagle worldwide control system such as Echelon, and so forth, all in obedience to the USA "Public Administration”, in such a imperceptible way that, although today people know much more about it, you seem to have not noticed it at all.
Yet you do have noticed that Osama Bin Laden is one of THOSE leaders, because you noticed that the destruction he has been charged with is a USA specialty; you have noticed that Osama Bin Laden and his organization are sons of USA.
I lived in the USA for a couple of years, about some thirty years ago, and have seen what there is and what lacks and what people think of Politics.
In the United States of America there is the veneration of money and of the freedom to make money with the personal initiative, which surely is a beautiful thing, save the number of outcasts that such social system produces every year.
As far as politics are concerned then, the Euro-Americans think of it exactly like the Italians, which are not patriots but in a stadium, like you say, but under circumstances like the Friuli earthquake have shown solidarity and spirit of reaction no less than what has been shown at ground zero.
The issue, dear lady, is that some things become normal in anomalous situations, else returning in the back-stage of the brain, leaving room to less noble attitudes, and this is another element that characterizes in a strong way your beloved cultural Matrix, clearly by the times of those illiterate adventurers and peasants that have stolen America from the legitimate owners, evicting and killing them and massacring the basis of their natural Economy to replace it with a artificial Economy, a war made of untellable shames, conducted with the guns in one hand and the cross in the other.
Is it always worth going with the thought to the Franklins, to the Jeffersons etc..,, like you do? or wouldn’t it be better to conclude, more honestly, that it is a natural phenomenon that which makes a flower sprout in the mud from time to time?
And can we always talk of the superiority of the Colonist's Independence War upon the cruelty of the French Revolution?
or we should remember instead that while the Colonists defended themselves in a regular war, the French people was righteously TERRORIZING the violent king’s and noble’s oppression that had already threaten, starved, TERRORIZED and assassinated them?
Can we rather remember that the War of Independence of the Colonists was lead with the clear objective of a political independence from the crown, while the French Revolution followed the irrational anger of the people who became voice of God?
Can we finally remember that the War of Independence of the Colonists cannot be in any way compared with the French Revolution like you claim to do?
You talk of Jihad and Osama Bin Laden, which threatens "our way to pray, not to pray, to eat, drink, dress, enjoy, inform ourselves"; but you should at least try to realize that to those like Osama Bin Laden the euro-american style or the arab one and even the Palestinian true issue are unimportant.
You should see that it’s the problem of POWER that we’re dealing with, overthere as in Vietnam or in Panama, and if you think you have the right to speak for those who in this System “pray, do not pray, eat, drink, dress, enjoy, inform themselves” like you do, nonetheless you do not have the right to ignore that half planet, including part of the people of the USA and of Europe, have been paying with their lives for centuries to keep all these beautiful services outstanding.
Today the System, this beloved Matrix of yours, feeling the resource crisis approaching, would like to increase the distribution of bones and crumbs of the Euro-American so called "well-being" also to the countries still not suffocated by this “MARKET”.
But upon whom will the costs of this operation be unloaded?
Where will the new necessary resources be taken for such operation?
The Earth has physical borders, inwards and outwards, therefore, before returning to writing rivers of words about your hurted feelings, think on it a little and be influenced by that Father Dante whom you say to admire more than Omar Khayan and who did not spare criticisms to the System you admire and of which you are so proud.
You surely can and must be proud of Platone, Fidia, or Christ; we could add also others before these, but Solone, Biante, Pittaco, Empedocle, Eraclito, Socrate, Platone and Fidia had more things in common with the Iranians than with those squadrons of imbecile predators coming down periodically from Northern Europe.
Moreover, Christ was an Arab, if you are not aware of this! and it is not right to pass over the misfortunes of Galileo because some Giulio II, heir of schisms and fundamentalisms and racist violences, had the Sistina chapel made. No Art can repay for an offense to the spirit of man and the Church is not less corrupted today than it was yesterday or the day before.
There is no intellect or art in East, such to compete with intellect or art in Euro-America?!
Then, perhaps, some contact with Paleontology and then with Archaeology and a good review of the Million by Marco Polo will be of help to you to remember that the two antithetic cultures exist only in your mind, while the truth is that there is a single culture, differentiated by the events that you show to ignore and in this differentiated culture always Saints and sons of bitch compete to teach, both always seeking the same things.
If you will notice this, perhaps then you’ll be able to correctly define progress, technology, religion, politics, terrorism, speculation, anger and pride, and you won’t feel the necessity to lavish your torrents of irrationality to Mr. Ferruccio and the Italians.
But if it was a vent of passion, sped up from the freezing event of Manhattan, I hope that such vent has made you achieve the peace you needed and wishing you good work I say goodbye.
